Star Wars & Sc-Fi Talk

I think it also depends on how much time Harrison Ford is willing to commit to the franchise. If he is signed up for just one movie, this is definitely a possibility.
Agreed...and I do not know.

I do know at an interview/press conference with him, Mark Hamill, and Carrier Fischer, that the latter two seemed much more excited and viewed the new movie as sort of a re-birth.

But it appeared to me that Harrison Ford viewed it as pretty much just another movie with him in a leading role. He did say that at the end of the last three (Star Wars I-III) that he never expected to do another one, that he thought it was over.

So, from that you might extrapolate that he does not see himself involved in all three.

It will be interesting to see.

Ford is so much more accomplished than Hamil and Fisher. So to him, it's just another movie. Or at least he wants to pretend to not care as much. After all, the Star Wars is Luke's movie. Han Solo is a main character, but still just a main character. The whole series is about Luke Skywalker. So although Ford got famous because of the movies, he is not as attached to the movies as Hamil and Fisher.

So I don't think we should take his behavior as an indication of how much he will be involved.

A lot of the rumors of Han Solo getting killed comes from long ago back during the first trilogy when Ford asked to be killed off. That was then when his acting career was launching. Does he still feel the same? Who knows but if you see him doing a small role in Expendables 3 or Anchorman 2, the days where he can choose roles are probably behind him. Look at the fan base of Star Wars. The younger generation who weren't around when the first trilogy was big see the prequels as their favorites. Han Solo didn't even have an indirect connection in them.

I think the film will end up breaking records again.
Lots of folks think it has a real good shot at the largest grossing film of all time.

We shall see. I think it could do it.

On advanced sales, it has already broken the all time record...which was held by one of the Hunger Games. Within the first 2 days it had beaten that record by something like 8 to 1.

Yoda went into hiding because the Empire was at the height of its power and was hunting down Jedis. However, in the latest movie, the empire had been largely gone with both Darth Vader and the Emperor gone as well. There is no need for the Jedi to hide. Luke should now dedicate his time finding as many kids with force as possible and start training as soon as possible.
The Jedi Reached there height and destroyed the Sith save the last Darth who then set to infiltrate the republic and build the empire. What the Jedi of the Prequels failed to realize is that they had placed the force out of Balance so when the one who brings balance arrived he set to destroying the Jedi.
Now from what has been gathered from the trailers and Rumors. we know that the remnants of the Empire have set to finding force gifted, so Luke is likely to be training new jedi but he is unlikely to be doing so as broadly or widely infact it's most likely that he is doing so in secret.
