As far as I know a person has to be double vaccinated to play at Wimbledon and the US Open. That leaves France which always likes to be different.
I bet that Macaroon will find a way to throw him out of the tournament. He is a political hot-potato

Any politician that allows him to participate in the tournament will take a lot of political beating. On the other hand if the politician is smart he will throw him out and aim brownie points

I have no problem that one country rejects a non-vaccinated person but if you don't accept him, don't offer visa to him from the beginning. You can't just like: Boss A allows him in then Boss B rejects him. After that Boss C says it's OK for him to stay but again Boss D step in and revoke his visa once again. So, who's the real boss in your country?

Novax getting kicked out was the right outcome, however what was ridiculous was the way it came about.

Firstly he was told officially by the every official Australian official his team would normally have needed to talk to that everything was perfectly in order before he left for Australia.

It wasn’t until there was a public backlash that Morrison decided to politically interfere that there was a problem.

Then when Novax won in court, his government decided to override the court and throw him out anyways.

So this farcical episode exposed:
- total incompetence at boarder control to have cleared Novax to start with
- gross political interference from the PM office in matters that are of no concern to it
- zero respect for rules and laws as Australian government officials used the earlier court decision as toilet paper

Basically Novax has been scapegoated to deflect from the failings of the Australian authorities in letting him into the country in the first place, which in turn exposes the preferential treatment the rich and elite gets and the utter sheer incompetence of Australian boarder control. And people wonder how covid got out of control there.

And throughout it all, not one fart from the WTA President on Novax’s welfare and rights.

Appealing to the Courts is rather pointless on this occasion because in a democracy Parliament is the highest Court in the land. So IMO if the government wanted Novak gone, that's the way it's going to be.

P/S
After giving it a bit more thought, I think it was the Victorian state government that was ok with the ATP inviting Novak. However, in the Federal Government revoked it. It's not dissimilar to the Federal government overturning Victoria's Belt and Road proposal with China or revoking The lease on the Port Of Darwin.

Good first round for the Chinese players at the aus open. All of them progressed to the next stage. No signs of any bad effects from recent controversy by Western media and WTA. Wang qiang in particular scored a big upset to beat coco grauf the US teen phenom in straight sets.

I watched the Ann Li vs Wang Xinyu match. After Wang won there was a group Chinese supporters who celebrated with her afterwards with photo taking.
