"T129 Atak helicopter produced by @TUSAS_TR for the Philippines.

They bought 6 T129s to the Philippines in the first place. Two will be delivered each year.

6 additional orders are expected to arrive."

@ansy1968
@sequ yup we're expecting it bro and Thank you Turkey, We had received 2 surplus AH1 from Jordan, and will be used to familiarized ourselves operating an attack helicopter. BUT it's obsolete this 2 newly arrive will increase the combat effectiveness of our AFP ten fold, escorting our fleet of newly delivered Sikorsky while providing fire support. With these new assets our military planners are devising a plan of creating an Air Assault Battalion centered on this new equipment. With speed , firepower and quick respond it will end the communist insurgency , law and order in the southern Philippines especially against Abu Sayaf and ISIS will be established.

@Bellum_Romanum Bro You know why we suffered heavy casualties and the enemy always escape, aside from poor intelligence every reinforcement is ambushed, Due to the difficulty of the terrain it take time for units to gather and where sent piecemeal. Now with the recent arrival of the brand new S70 Sikorsky and the two gunship, we can take the fight to the enemy. With Speed, Firepower and On Time reinforcement the enemy have nowhere to hide and will be pulverized.

Philippines takes delivery of first two T129 ATAK attack helicopters

PAF-T129-Atak14-1.jpg

In the post made by the Ministry of National Defense of the Philippines, images of T129 Atak helicopters produced for the Philippine Air Force were included. "The first two units of the six are expected to be delivered from Turkey by the end of the year," the ministry said in a statement. The previously stated target was confirmed. The Philippine Air Force (PAF) 15th Strike Squadron had sent pilots and maintenance technicians to Turkey for T129 Atak training. The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of the Philippines announced that the first two of the T129 ATAK helicopters are expected to be delivered by the end of December, and a team from the Philippine Ministry of Defense went to Turkey for pre-delivery inspection.

In his statement, Philippine Air Force (PAF) Commander Lieutenant General Allen Paredes marked December of 2021 for the first convoy planned to be delivered by TAI. Lieutenant General Paredes, in his social media post, said, "Lethal... It's coming in December. T129 Attack Helicopter of the Philippine Air Force.” made statements. No other details about the delivery were given in the statement.

It is known that a total of 6 T129 ATAK helicopters produced by TAI under the contract signed with the Philippines will be exported for 269,388,862 USD. In the statements made in May 2021, it was stated that the first delivery of two units is expected to take place in September 2021. "Based on the latest developments, we expect the first two units of T129 Attack Helicopters for the Philippine Air Force to be delivered this September," said Dir Arsenio Andolong, Spokesperson for the Philippine Ministry of Defense. According to the ministry, it was stated that following the delivery, which is said to be made in September 2021, the remaining four T129 ATAK helicopters are expected to be delivered in February 2022 (two units) and February 2023 (two units), respectively.

T129 ATAK training for Filipino personnel

Following the completion of the approvals for the sale of the T129 ATAK helicopter to the Philippines, the pilots and crews of the Philippine Air Force's 15th Attack Squadron will receive T129 ATAK helicopter training at TAI facilities in Ankara. While the related training is planned to continue between May 2021 and August 2021, the Philippine Air Force will continue to send pilots and experts to Turkey for training on T129 ATAK attack helicopter operations in the future.

Unfortunately there was some delay but hope that everything goes smoothly from now on. Too bad it's missing some sensors like the RF jammers on the wingtips together with the RWR and LWR but luckily it has the MWS and chaff and flare dispenser, but there are provisions to install them later on. The Philippine T-129 seemingly have the same (missing) sensor layout as the Turkish police T-129.

I don't think it'll miss anything to effectively fight against insurgents.

@sequ Hi bro yes you're correct, we don't need the whole bell and whistles just the basic config is enough so that we can buy more. So the infamous 15th strike wing will get the Helo, I'm hoping they form a new Airborne Assault unit together with the Sikorsky. That squadron had a checkered history when they join the 1989 coup and ditch their aircraft.

Wish enough concessions can be made to bring about a peaceful settlement in Mindanao and Sulu.

They were true to their faith, fighting against foreign rule for 400 years.
First the Spanish colonialists, the Japanese, the US and now the government under US influence.

They were the original uncorrupted natives of the Philippines
Their bravery and undying spirit, fighting for centuries to protect their culture are admirable.

Let us not take sides in the Philippines internal conflicts brought about by foreign invaders.

They don't call themselves Filipinos cause the name was derived from a Spanish King, they wanted to be called Maranao or Tausog based on their region or Maharlika as a whole.

They fight cause they see the Christian settlers as part of American occupation, You know why the colt 45 pistol was invented, to stop a muslim berserker or Juramentado. The fear it created, the American never venture outside city, they devised a strategy of giving land and arming the Christian settlers. Instead of pacification it become a religious war, the origin of Modern Jihad and it continue until Duterte sign the BARMM into law, granting autonomy to the Muslim minority.

I am neutral between the Muslims and the Christians.
I am agnostic, not a Muslim supporter, but the Mindanao and Zulu natives have the right to choose who they wish to migrate to their lands.
I have some grasp of the situation in the Philippines as a search for the place "Badoc" in Luzon that I use for my handle may suggest.

Maharlika is fine with me.
Wishing peace and prosperity for all Pinoys.

@badoc thanks bro, we in ASEAN need to clean up the mess our colonizer had left behind, the policy they implement Divide and Conquer really leave a lasting Scars in the native psychic. In our case our Muslim brethren enclave which was the whole of Mindanao had shrank to the present 3 provinces, you can understand the grievances they hold, they become a minority in their owned land.

And there is a lingering problem regarding Sabah, It is part of Sultanate of Zulu and there is strong linkage with the Tausog in Jolo, It will become a future flash point as nationalism both in Malaysia and the Philippine may led to the dissolution of ASEAN.
