I wouldn't put much faith in the Middle Eastern Arab countries in the Gulf region. They have huge amounts of money parked in the West.
Their defense establishment is also heavily dependent on Western weapons imports.
While they are trying to increase their own weapons production it will take a long time until we see proper results from this.

The West has its areas of influence over those monarchies, and China also has a few areas of influence over them of its own.

China needs to make sure to keep these countries neutral like they are now. That's basically what's already being done.

Because, if they are neutral, they will look for their own interests first, and over time realize the collapse of the US empire is inevitable and give them finishing blows & jump ships completely to the other side at a critical moment.

The loss of long-standing, traditional allies is a common characteristic of many collapses of big empires in the past history.

Tucker Carlson reflect republican mindset about strategy to contain china with Russia. And seems like in decades ago Russia were willing to welcome this.

This guy demolished Tucker and his faction's hegemonic ambitions against China and strategic sucking up to Russia.

Mearsheimer is also a big over-confident, arrogant clown. But he is slightly smarter than complete retards like Zeihan or Chang.

However, still far from being on the level of intelligence & quality of some social scientists & geopolitical analysts from China or Russia for example.

Celebrating Tucker or Mershaimer as something best they have to offer, tells about their intellectual levels the most.

Saudi Arabia entire economic future is dependent on Chinese tech. It’s just a matter of time before China start to really sell weapons there. At end of day, public opinion still matters. And Saudis are going to put more and more money into China. It’s pretty obvious where the trend is going.

At some point, you can’t dismiss every country that has bought American weapons as adversaries

What I mean is 1-2 decades ago Russia still think about join west against china. Putin himself said about intentions to join NATO in 2000.

Chinese tech or Israeli tech. Saudis will choose side that can offer better tech. I think seawater crops is the determiners.

Back in 2000 relations between the US and China weren't like they are today. As China wasn't perceived to be as much of a competitive threat. You have to remember China joined the WTO in 2001.
There were some evidence that US want to go against china in 2001. But 9/11 led US to go for middle east instead.

Russia at the time wasn't friendly as it is today, as Dugins said

If you read the PNAC paper "Rebuilding America's Defences", the US could have encountered a "Pearl Harbor type incident", which ended up being 9/11. They would invade Iraq and North Korea, so that the troops stationed in Kuwait and South Korea could be redeployed to directly confront the remaining antagonistic major powers. i.e. Iran and China. The US intended to destroy what they could not control basically.

Because they had to go into Afghanistan the war against North Korea never happened basically. But Iraq was still invaded.
