Here is a video of lots of Russian BMP 1. Does using such a old IFV on the offensive say anything about capabilities of modern Russian armor?

That is LDPR milita. Not Russian Armed Forces. LDPR were supplied with captured Ukrainian and Russian Soviet stock.
They use T-72B and BMP 1. They seem to be using a Soviet armor package.

Russian Army has BTR-80A, BMP-3, and T-72B3/B3M.

What i've seen most losses have been older vehicles Russians hauled from their storages, there are videos of Ukrainian troops looking inside disabled vehicles and seeing how badly those are maintained, probably explains why many have also simply broken down.

Only today we have begun seeing BMP-3's and other mire modern vehicles on the move.
Media here (UK) has been showing footage of damaged and some burnt out tigrs. So not just older vehicles.

I wonder how the economic impact is going to affect the russian naval procurement plans. Whether they are going to be insulated or will we see cancellations of the Ivan Rogov LHDs and Gorshkov frigates. Not to mention the massive Borei SSBN, Yasen SSGN and corvette programmes.

The production rate will dramatically increase.

Doesn't make sense to cancel them in wartime.

I don't expect them to be starting any new vessels soon.

Extra resources will have to go to the Army and Air Force.
I second this, critical resources will have to be redirected to sectors of the military that are being depleted by the ongoing crisis. As it is Russian MIC isn’t that stable and the conflict in Ukraine is going to put unnecessary strain on the entirety of all military complexes for at-least a few years; not to mention the potential that sanctions have to hinder any developments if they have to import certain components. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
