Footage of the Russian homemade robotic platform SEM-350. The SEM-350 Veteran ground drone was developed by NPO TsVBP and is a modular platform; its design allows you to change its equipment to suit the type of task being performed in the field. Reportedly, the Russian military has already received five copies of SEM-350 robots for testing, they have already been used, but there is no video yet. The robotic complex has a good load capacity, it reaches 400 kg. The SEM-350 robot can evacuate the wounded, transport ammunition and be used as a manipulator and ground-based kamikaze drone. The robotic complex is also equipped with weapons; it is possible to install machine guns and grenade launchers. The maximum speed of the platform is up to 20 km/h, autonomy up to 4 hours, range up to 2 kilometers, may vary depending on the communication module. Platform weight: 160 kg

Testing has resumed for the Il-114-300 aircraft. I believe these were stopped by the Klimov TV7117 engines that may have failed in the recent Il-112 crash. Promising sign, as those Il-38s are getting very old and more difficult to support.

This is a Civilian plane for Arctic and rough airfield performance. I dont think they are going to use it for Navy due to its short range and lack of payload. They want S-70 drone for Navy. I think electronics technology has advanced enough. Ka-52K with external fuel tanks itself can provide alot of coverage. We are fundamentally transitioning to technology based on drones and choppers. There is place for new ship based plane and anti submarine aircraftb but not sure how much it add. the heavy loads on Ka-52K on every hard point. and helicopter is what they present often related to Ukraine. you can already see the size of Mi-35 so huge relative to Su-25 on that poster. my theory is they are going to add much more choppers. they also function as UAV control for targeting data.

“Particular attention is paid to the development of unmanned aircraft. It is planned that modern unmanned systems “Pacer” and “Okhotnik” will enter service,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.

Nikolai Evmenov noted that in order to increase combat capabilities, the existing fleet of Tu-142MZ, Il-38 aircraft and Ka-27, Ka-31R helicopters will undergo modernization, and it is also planned to create promising anti-submarine aircraft systems. “The development of naval attack and fighter aviation is ensured through the re-equipment of modern aircraft systems of the 4++ generation - multifunctional Su-30SM2 fighters and the arrival of Ka-52K ship-based attack helicopters, as well as the creation of promising ship-based fighter aviation systems,” Nikolay added Evmenov.

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko said that the S-70 Okhotnik heavy attack UAV is a highly intelligent system capable of solving a wide range of tasks individually, in a group and together with manned aircraft. The drone developed at the Sukhoi design bureau is designed according to the “flying wing” design using technologies to reduce the effective scattering area, which reduces its radar signature. To reduce visibility in the infrared wavelength range, the Okhotnik will be equipped with a flat nozzle.

None of the launch pads at Vostochny have the necessary facilities to allow cosmonauts to enter and leave the capsule after the vehicle is erected. Some people in Russia insist on sabotaging manned space at Vostochny claiming that manned flight recovery in case of launch abort is just too difficult. Either because there are no transport facilities to recover cosmonauts, the terrain under the abort area is too difficult to survive in, or that cosmonauts could land in the sea making recovery impossible. They are just complicating things and this means reliance on the launch pads at Kazakhstan is still necessary.

The airport at Vostochny is close to completion. And once it is built the transport facilities to recover cosmonauts will be more than available. And other nations recover cosmonauts from landing in the water. The US did it all the time.

There was originally a plan to build two launch pads for Angara at Vostochny, not just this one. The second pad was supposed to have the necessary facilities for manned flights. But Rogozin changed the plan to make the new pad not for Angara but for Yenisei, the Russian heavy rocket, and now I think this third pad at Vostochny is supposed to be for the Amur reusable rocket. With no manned spaceflight capabilities either.

The whole plan is just stupid in my opinion. They should make another Angara pad with manned spaceflight capabilities as originally planned.

Admiral Moiseyev appointed as Russian Navy’s new chief — defense minister

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to appoint Admiral Alexander Moiseyev as the Navy commander-in-chief, Vice Admiral Konstantin Kabantsov as the Northern Fleet commander and Vice Admiral Sergey Pinchuk as the Black Sea Fleet commander, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Tuesday.
"Colleagues, I congratulate you! You assume the huge responsibility that you now shoulder. I hope that you will cope with the tasks you have been assigned by the supreme commander-in-chief of the Russian Armed Forces, the Defense Ministry and, of course, the country," the ministry quoted Shoigu as saying during a conference call with military commanders.
Moiseyev was the Northern Fleet commander from 2019 and has now replaced Admiral Nikolay Yevmenov. Earlier, he was the Black Sea Fleet commander and deputy chief of the Russian General Staff.

The Emirates had already acquired the Pantsir though.
There are basically no Western systems competitive with either Pantsir or Tor.
