Yes, people in Europe and America drive a lot. When I go to second-hand car shop and concern about the mileage of the car I was negotiating, the shop owner said normally, American car drive 10,000 miles a year. However, I see most American cars have more mileage than that.

For me, I drive 8km one way to work but the roads are always in traffic jam. It sometime took me one and half an hour to arrive at office before the overpass was built. My last monthly gas consumption was about US$150. I have sold my car and haven't bought a new one yet. Now, I ride scooter to work and it costs me around $30 of gas per month.

$150 is a LOT to spend on gas considering the average Cambodian probably makes less than that in a month. You must be a wealthy Cambodian :eek:

BTW I've been to Siem Reap and Cambodian ladies are quite easy on the eyes. Perhaps Equation needs to move there.. lol

Actually the average American auto owner is driving 10,000-16,000 miles a year.

Check is chart below. Show it to the salesman.;);

Ok this weather pattern is getting weird. It's the month of May, and it's cold in Houston (50s degrees at night) today and yesterday.:confused:

Cold? 50F?! C'mon now.. Today in Cedar Rapids it was 43F as a high. In far northwestern Iowa it snowed 11.5 inches..We did not get any snow. Just rain..the record for snowfall in May has been broken in parts of Iowa.

I know! It is freezing in Austin. Almost as if Christmas (weather wise) came early. What the heck?

Keep in mind that this is Houston we are talking about. This is akin to hell freezing over.

I had on and off fever for the past 3 days, seems that the fever is now finally gone. All that's left is some swollen gum and a few ulcers...

I have a tip about soar throats if anyone gets one. Soar throats for me are the worst. It makes you feel horrible throughout the day. Most of the time it's followed by illness and you can't get a good night's sleep. Any one know of Solanpas medical patches? I see the spray version advertised on TV to remedy soar muscles and aches. The patches, not sure the spray, cures soar throats also. It doesn't mask or numb soar throats like the medicines that are for soar throats waiting for the regular healing process to take place. It gets rid of it. Get that little scratch in your throat which you know when it's coming... slap on the patch on the back of your neck. You don't even need the whole patch. Just cut a third... more if it's severe. Strep throat I've experienced takes longer but still helps. If you already have a soar throat and want to experience the difference, just wait until you're about to go to bed and place the patch on the back of your neck and when you wake up in the morning you'll notice a drastic difference. You can buy them in any major drug store or get a nice big pack at Costco. There's also another brand, Tokuhan, that you can probably only find in Asian stores.
