The OP of the images did because all we see are error messages.

So no news yet.
I am kinda curious about the muzzle break on the CS/LR17 some models like that are also used for mating suppressors.

Is that a type 03? The resolution could be a HELL of a lot better
It looks like a AK style Magazine latch although I could be jumping at shadows.
Looks like MLok style slots

Does not really look like a type03. I think that is it. After years of guessing, turns out we have already seen it without knowing.

We've been expecting the new service rifle for a while now, and it's been rumoured for the last year that it will appear at this parade.
The resolution of the image is poor, but the silhouette and shadows looks consistent with what we knew it would likely have.

To quote myself from one of the earlier posts in the thread:

Whether the actual design of the new service rifle corresponds exactly to any of the pictures in this thread is not something we know yet -- the picture is just too poor quality.

I think its the CS/LR17.

Judging by the logic Its called QBZ-17''1'' which has the similar number of CS/LR-17 might be referring to it afterall

We don't know because the picture isn't very clear.

It *could* be a domestic variant of the CS/LR-17 but I would be surprised if that were the case given CS/LR-17 is a product first shown for export and given how carefully the PLA have guarded pictures of the new service rifle over the last couple of years.


That said the new rifle will almost definitely have lots of commonalities with the CS/LR-17 in terms of general configuration and various design features. But I would be surprised if it was a model or a variant of the CS/LR-17.
