Is the upper receiver forged-milled or cast? im trying to understand the separate pinned rail piece.

I'm not sure if it's their stance or their first time using a gun but that's a lot of recoil being shown.
I'm going to take a guess. I think it's mostly because they are new and very inexperienced. Even the SMG is seen pushing them noticeably. Take note that it seems they are firing mostly in burst, the first time we saw that shooting mode since the very first CCTV video.

Also, it's interesting that the QBB-95 was seen in the footage. It's the same as previous videos where we saw troops with qbz-191 and qbb-95 as their squad machine gun. It really seems to solidify my hypothesis that they are planning for now to use their qbb-95 remaining stocks, as it probably fullfills satisfactorily the same requirements for the role as the new machine guns.

On a separate note. I think the reason that China doesn't outfit optics on the india border, besides the other reasons others previously mentioned why it's not being so quickly widespread in general, has to do that the Chinese probably are expecting that if SHTF, they will bring in the heavy stuff, like tanks and artillery. They are not so focused on infantry and small arms as USA is. If im not mistaken, we have seen previously footage of the PLA fielding the QBU-191 on the Indian border. That rifle probably would be better suited for long distance mountain shooting that an QBZ-191 with an Chinese ACOG.

Here is the youtube link to the previous video. Gun looks good as always.

My God I'm blind, I reread the old post and rewatched it but it really was fired in burst. I was wrong about the recoil thing. It shot so fast I couldn't tell when I first watched it. We are one step closer to knowing it's fire rate and I love how much faster it is compared to the 95.

I mentioned about them firing in bursts. I think it was previously said that the fire rate is 750 RPM. I still think that grip and inexperience is the cause of excessively high recoil in some soldiers.

We saw countless videos of the qbz-95 being fired in full auto while remaining pretty controllable. Sure enough, it seems that the qbz-95 had an built-in recoil buffer mechanism. I'm not sure if the qbz-191 has some similar recoil mitigation mechanism.

If you notice, they are put to shoot in two stances: Standing and prone. Prone soldiers with mounting support have minimal recoil, as can be expected.

Standing soldiers are either gripping the bottom of the magazine awkwardly, or gripping the handguard pretty close to the magazine, yet without an "thumb over axis while using the magell as an vertical grip" style. Gripping the magwell as far as possible helps in accuracy and recoil control. Standing soldiers don't lean forward and instead have a straight body stance. We know that all rifles recoil pretty bad if we shoot in bursts without leaning forward. Their stance looks like the Soviet era shooting stance.
