I went there in the summer of 2001. I liked the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. I hated those bums that kept on trying to sell me their crap. I also saw Mao's corpse in Beijing. I was surprised the line was that long.

No care or thought for those less fortunate than you, eh?

If you buy stuff from one guy, then a whole flock of bums would start storming you, so it's better off not buying it in the first place.

I am not anti China, I just don't like the commies running the government there. If China was democratic then they could get along with America. How am i unthankful?

for some reason, westerners just cant get commie=bad and democracy=good out of their mind. the "commies" running china have been doing good for the nation, keeping a great economy, building, making friends, giving people benifits.

Bush has done no good to the U.s. can you think of anything he did for Us that actually helped it? didnt think so.

For one more time, the Commies are Commies only by name........
They are more of a dictatorship.......... sometimes unfair..........
I never really liked Jiang.......
As for Bush, putting more money into the military can be both a good thing and bad. And America, when in defense, does not need a huge military. The war on Terror is a disaster and is more of a cover-up.

But this is about Plastic armor, so no more on politics.

Oh and BTW, you do know about the idea of using spider webs for armor, right? Wouldn't such armor be easily lit on fire?

And since spider webs are hard to produce, I am thinking, will lotus roots serve as a good subsitute? (If you have ever eaten a chunk of lotus roots, you notice that there are fibers running between the two pieces.)

I think they said spider webs are difficult to weave tightly together.

I don't think lotus roots are as strong as spider webs, spider webs are 10 times stronger than steel. Scientists said that a cord made of spider web as thick as a pencil can stop an F-14.

I wonder if that was directed towards me, I guess I'll never know. :D

I say we genetically engineer spiders so they will be able to produce giant webbings. Then we could use that for armor.

the only way to obtain the silk now is via spiders, and you cant control exactly when they lay silk. we need to analyze the sttuff to make an artificial version
