I live in the United States. The identical news programming against China on all TV channels and major websites everyday. The rednecks and cowboys are being brainwashed that the lives in China like Fu Manchu and Charlie Chan era. VOA is always bringing those China haters to represent the so-called Chinese dissents in the United States. In my opinion, they are full of bullcrabs(only allowed here).

I do not live in the USA. I do not own a TV, nor do I watch TV programs in English, or from the USA.

"The rednecks and cowboys "

This is racist speech referring to whites in derogatory terms. Why is it tolerated when it violates the TOS?

I would not last 30 seconds if I used racist terms for the Chinese.

Thank you for your comments. It was not my intention to offend anyone. I regret making you to feel this way.

I'm not sure what country you're from however I don't consider rednecks and cowboys deragotory terms at all LOL. I've never heard a redneck got offended by being called a redneck and certainly not a cowboy.

Heck, where I live we call rednecks Hoosiers and while that term may be slightly more offensive it is certainly not anywhere close to the offensiveness of certain words used to describe many minority races.

The word "cowboy" is offensive? What?! Isn't the Dallas Cowboys the biggest team in NFL? Whoever finds it offensive must never have been to a rodeo LOL

To be fair I think it depends on the intention of the speaker when using a particular term which determines its offensiveness.

In this case, I'm not even sure if A man intended it to be offensive... based on his past posts to the forum I'm actually not so sure how good his English is.

In any case, this is not something worth quibbling much over.
