These two replenishment tankers will be a welcomed addition to PLAN after 886 and 887s marathon runs to the Gulf of Aden

Hopefully we will see them replenish Chinese carriers also, with 4 such ships PLAN will be able to send a dozen ships to far away seas

it has been reported that Pakistan Navy is in talks with China for the design and development for a 15,000-20,000 replenishment tanker, which is very interesting, this means we might be adding more surface vessals

this is from Warship Technology May 2012 Issue Page 38 (Royal Institute of Naval Architects publication)

I assume that would just be similar to one of the Type 903A AOR ships.

As per PAKDEF & other forums, PN is in serious talks with their Chinese counter parts for 4-6 more F22P, plus 4FFGs - 4K tons with better AAW/ASW & 6-8 OPVs (056 type) & of course 6 QUING SSKs.

for the 4 FFGs, pakistan should wait a bit because soon (2-3 years) there will be a chinese "SMART-L" coming into service. also the longer range active version of HQ-16 would also coming into service at same time. would be very potent to integrate all this onto a frigate. of around 4500 tons, which is what PLAN intend to do.

PN surface fleet requirement is around 12 – 16 vessels & they are working on that as per below:

1st Phase – 4 F22Ps (completed)
2nd Phase – 4-6 F22Ps (under final negotiations)
3rd Phase – 4 FFGs (4000 -4500t on the table)

Hence, I believe till they reach to the 3rd phase (within 2-3 years) the time you recommending would be legitimate.

However, the QUING Class SSKs deals (4-6 subs) which have been finalized are well on the track & we may see these babies in 2013 with SLCM (Babur) induction.
