Wikipedia doesn't accept links to GlobalTimes articles. That is a serious problem, especially when there are articles with photos of the commissioning there. What further proof would be required? Wikipedia says GlobalTimes isn't a "reliable" news source period. But a NavalNews article quoting GlobalTimes is! As is an article on Warisboring by David Axe, or a SCMP article by Minnie Chan. Then there are the "moderators" who constantly try to impose their own worldview contrary to whatever data is available. Honestly I wouldn't bother. Wikipedia has been a cesspool for at least a decade. Heck, I once updated an airliner's page about its fleet, linking to that airliner corporation's own press releases of planes entering service into the fleet, and it got deleted as "unreliable" info. Some people put themselves in charge of their little fiefs in Wikipedia and don't allow any editing other than their own.

Yep. Just experienced this myself. I just told the one who reverted my change to go and revert practically every page of Chinese military Wikipedia because every page has something that doesn't have the strong verifiable sources he demanded.

That comment was made in Jan 2021. At that time there is only 1 055 destroyer. The second one was commissioned on mar 2021 and the third one was in April 2021. So in a case, the record is quite accurate in term of the 055 thingy.

Thanks. Wikipedia listed China's Aicraft Carriers as:
Type 001 AC (1)
Type 001A AC (1)

Well China designated them as 001, 002, 003. Shandong is 002, not 001A AC

My friend:

Type 001 ==> 001==> First Carrier ==>16
Type 001A ==> 002 ==> 2nd Carrier ==> 17
Type 002 ==> 003 ==> 3rd Carrier ==> 18 (assume)
Type 002 ==> 004 ==> 4th Carrier ==> 19 (assume China will build another type 002)

If the 4th carrier will be a nuclear, or a new type-Type 003, then it will look like

Type 003 ==> 004 ==> 4th Carrier ==> 19 (assume China only builds one type 002 or starts second type 002 after the first type 003)
