J-15 pilots wearing small triangular shoulder patches featuring panda motif. I can't quite make out the writing on the patch.
One panda themed patch. I know these are naval J-15 pilots, but I'm using this thread to keep the related information in one place.
Not technically a PLAAF badge but an important PLAAF asset does make a cameo appearance here.

During the boxer rebellion Russia invaded Northeast China under the pretext of protecting its citizen and property in Northeast China. Russia agreed to withdraw all troops after the boxer rebellion was put down, but refused to do so in 1903 and re-occupied Shenyang, also declared its exclusive "right" in the occupied area.
Japan then fought and won the Russo-Japanese war (1904-1905) displacing Russia in Northeast China. On January 23rd 1906, the "Sino-Japanese treaty of three northeast provinces" 中日会议东三省事宜条约 came into force begining Japanese invasion of China (untill 1945).
So 1903 signifies Russian occupation of Northeast China, 1906 signifies Japan's occupation.
In the badges with 1903 and 1906, the pandas are "cute" and "harmless". In the following badge I see something-2010. That something may be "辽宁". The panda in it looks more like a grizzly bear with sharp claws and teeth.
So the messege from the badges are "in 1903 and 1906 we were weak and invaded, from 2010 we are strong to defend ourselvs". It is actually a very common Chinese meme that panda being depicited as a vicious bear to convey the messege that a panda is afterall a bear and can bite hard.
