You ever see how big the suppressor is on the M110? Suppressors come in all different lengths and girths for the same caliber/weapon system. It’s all dependent on the mission and what your needs are. Heck for all we know though can be faux suppressors just for a PR stunt.

I don’t want to go into too much detail about this but you can Google it and read about it pretty easily but basically both the length and girth affects the characteristics of the suppressor (recoil control, sound suppression, blow back gas, light suppression… and so forth).

For example, look at all of these 9mm suppressors -

See how all of their characteristics are different based on your needs? I personally have an Omega 9K because I prefer something compact and allows me more mobility over something that’s bigger and “suppresses” more sounds.

Also one of the biggest misconception the public have about suppressors is that we use them to suppress sounds. In reality, it’s actually really useful (almost a standard operating procedure) when we shoot them at night with our NODs on because they effectively remove the flash and prevents us from blinding ourselves with NODs on.
Have you tried the Maxim 9? It's also from SilencerCo but it's a full package, integrally suppressed. Seems pretty cool but I've never been able to fire it myself.

Rail mounted silencer?
Yes. It’s not actually that rare. A European firm out of Austria does the same. It has upsides and down sides like everything. The biggest upside being you don’t need a modified barrel. The stock factory barrel will do. Meaning that as long as the gun’s muzzle dimensions match you can suppress a bone stock pistol. The biggest downside is though a “Silencer” in name shooting into the can means that the muffler is open so you will have a gap meaning that you will have more of the sound.
Generally speaking Browning style operations which make up the majority of combat pistols have an issue with suppressors due to the tilting barrel the weight of the muffler can effect reliability. This is correctable with a booster.
Type 92 uses much the same operating principle as the Berretta Model 92 which isn’t a Browning action it’s based on a rotating barrel system. This isn’t effected by the weight of the muffler so no booster needed but you need a mount that won’t wonder as firing could result in the can launching down range.

Berretta px4 storm and MAB PA-15 also use the same principle.

QBZ-19 should have this ambidextrous charging handle
None Issue solved by training . It the same way , for left hand writers, there is no left hand shooter in PLA , they are taught to use right hand instead.

For other applications, I don't think it is a major problem , standard issued AK also doesn't have a ambidextrous handle.
Also the gun in the photo is QJB-201/QJS-161 (the designation isn't clear right now) .It is a squad light machine gun , not a assault rifle.
It need to have a ambidextrous handle is even lower , it is mainly used with the bipod prone , and charged with the right hand since it need to be polled quite bit more force then a assault rifle.
