Iran’s navy chief visits Chinese, Russian warships
Tehran, IRNA – The commander of the Iranian Navy, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, has visited the Russian and Chinese warships participating in the trilateral “Maritime Security Belt 2025” drills.
Rear Admiral Irani inspected the naval units of the two countries at the invitation of their fleet commanders, following the conclusion of the joint naval exercise involving Iran, Russia, and China.
During his visit to the Russian destroyer Tsedy Zhapov, the Iranian navy chief toured various sections of the warship and viewed its capabilities and facilities, while engaging in discussions with its crew members.
He then visited the Chinese destroyer Baotou, where he conducted a similar tour of its different sections.
Following the visits, a meeting was held with the commanders of the participating units to review and assess the performance of the forces in the joint exercise.
