2 control surfaces can be used as a split rudderPossibly. But you end up losing two control surfaces when you prop them up.
I’m just saying it’s a shame to waste a moving surface.

Hi,
can you listen to their translation, while watching the video like YouTube
kind of thing
thank you
i believe odds are they will not buy chinese. doing so would set them up against the us/israel bloc... im not feeling the vibes.TLDR is that if they don’t buy after this, there is no chance of them ever buying.
PS they pretty much did everything. Fly in each others planes, joint 4 vs 4 air combat exercise, YY-20 refueling tutorial, every god damn thing you can think of pretty much. Only thing they didn’t do is give away the aircraft source code…
They also revealed the price of the J-35A before. PLAAF leaders hope that the J-35A will match the F-35's purchase price of 84 million US dollars, and have sufficient air combat capabilities. But they ignore the fact that this price is only the factory price of a single plane, it is a lie to deceive US Congress and cover up the project overruns.. The actual cost of the full deployment of the F-35 is about 200 million.
Yankee and ShiLao “dissing” PLAAF for setting unrealistically high performance standards for fighter aircraft and weapons.
TL-DW: PLAAF leaders overestimate the hell out of Western weapon systems.
One funny anecdote they talked about basically involved a PLAAF commander dissing J-16D engineers for not being able to come anywhere close to EA-18’s jamming performance. Only problem? The bloke in charge of translating US intelligence misplaced a decimal point so that the processing capability of the EA-18’s suite got over estimated by a factor of one thousand!!!
P.S. I have complete confidence in PLAAF over performing in any potential showdown large or small in the near future. Compare the attitude of PLAAF heads, who even after May 7th studied what IAF has done right and those of arrogant militaries that diss Eastern equipment for political points, and you’ll know which one will contribute to victory.
Could’ve been a whole lot worse. At least the F-35 brings game changing capabilities to the Air Force. They could’ve been duped into spending the same amount on a 4.5 gen with no source code access…They also revealed the price of the J-35A before. When will we see next-generation helmets in J-20s?New Generation Aviation Anti-G Suit
