CATIC shows off a "Stand-alone Weapon Fire Control System" at the Saudi Arabia International Defense Show. I'm guessing this is basically a weapon pylon with built-in fire control. No need to extensively re-wire an aircraft to take advantage of new weapons, just pop this on.
Two more images of the external fire control system. It's compatible with a wide range of Western and Russian aircraft. Once installed, it will enable those aircraft to carry Chinese munitions without any hardwiring or programming. The system communicates with the pilot wirelessly via a portable tablet that can be either strapped onto the pilot's leg or be fixed to the cockpit.

TLDR is that if they don’t buy after this, there is no chance of them ever buying.
PS they pretty much did everything. Fly in each others planes, joint 4 vs 4 air combat exercise, YY-20 refueling tutorial, every god damn thing you can think of pretty much. Only thing they didn’t do is give away the aircraft source code…

More like folded vertical slabs. Wonder if it gets in the way of the flaps when folded…
Maybe the rudder becomes a flap.
Possibly. But you end up losing two control surfaces when you prop them up.
