Best Yankeesama article in three years with plenty of juicy details on PAF doctrine change post exposure to successive Shaheen exercises. Based on limited details revealed by PLAAF (very scant, but they exist) I can vouch that it is highly credible.
TLDR — PLAAF is even scarier than even the best PLAAF simp has anticipated. The doctrine is on a whole other level.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the article is saying the PLAAF with J-8DF destroyed PAF with JF-17 in BVR combat exercises?
Yup! In 2017 or 2018 there was a CCTV 7 video on a J-8 pilot that stated even though he was locked on multiple times by Pakistan Mirage in a previous Shaheen exercise, he worked hard and improved his tactics through hard work and persevered against PAF in that year’s exercise. They didn’t reveal which aircraft PAF used but it is widely speculated that it was against JF-17.

It was said in one of the trio talk show that PAF was so traumatized by J-16 that acquisition of J-10C was delayed. Only to proceed after assurance from PLAAF that Su-30MKI is no J-16.
