Someone please create threads for aircraft exports. Kazakh Air Defense Forces choose Y-9 over embraer kc390 ordered 10 pcs transport aircraft with optional contract for 10 pcs. First delivery 2027. Their state national guard operates 6 pcs and waiting for 4 pcs.



Also looking some modifications like aew&c kj-500/700 and gunship like ac-130j with weapons systems 2a70 100mm gun featuring 30mm autocannon 2a72, second armament is 2B9 Vasilek 82mm automatic mortar

1. there is already one ... just search for it!


2. please add a source ... especially the part with AEW-assets and most of all a gun-ship version sounds much too much like a fan-boys Wet-dream.

A higher resolution image of the GX-18 prototype that flew a few days back, you could clearly see the dish underneath the fuselage and two smaller white antennas on the rear of the plane, this also provides evidence the plane has indeed not removed the rear door design
Them apparently keeping the cargo door has me speculating. The aircraft could be for the employment of UAV and UUV systems with the added antennas being for communications with the said systems. I honestly cannot see what EW niche their extant fleet couldn't serve. It is more diverse than Cold War fleets at this point. FWIW we have seen air-deployed UUVs from China already.
