For now one must admit despite the political craziness the US still has the advantage in terms of things like VC funding, talent pool, networking, access to the best chips, and Silicon Valley's entrepeneurial culture.
China has its own strengths as well, but it'll need to mass them in order to compete against the US's current advantages.
