Diverting the combusted diesel from the EGR will also produce a lot of smoke.

The car you see is probably a military influencer on Douyin who livestreams military vehicles without permission. The tank probably released the smoke on purpose to mess with him/her.

To be honest, I don’t buy this explanation. If you check the first few seconds of the video, you can clearly see the Type 99 genarating smoke before the filmer’s vehicle even makes the turn. (Though we can’t rule out the possibility that the driver had been circling around to film it deliberately.)

this is very obvious in China domestic internet discussion already, people come to explain they are intentionally waiting for the tank to take video, both using car camera and phone. The smoke was generated for bluring those who comes to take videos. Tbh, no one cares if you buy it or not...

I’m well aware of what everyone’s saying- I’m merely offering a plausible interpretation here.
Where is your attitude came from? Dismissing ideas with ‘most people disagree, so you must be wrong’ is no substitute for critical thinking. (Not to mention I offered another possible explanation)

hey, I am not starting something here, also just discuss and let others know what truly happens. If you really want to know why? good, "Tbh, I don’t buy this". why do I say the last sentence? you also are well aware of. from your previous post.
