Not really birds, but most of all the difference between bees and wasps and what kind of adaption to the physique they have due to their different way of life (especially nutrition)

Hi Deino. It is good to see a fellow educator here. What's your age group? It looks like 13 to 16 year-old. Mines 16 to 19 year-old.

Also, where you are, it seems quite relaxed about movement and mixing in class. We are not allowed to move or mix. It's quite strange, it's like teaching in the 1950s. And of course, after the new year, we all teaching online again in the U.K. really difficult!

Good luck teaching. What I like about it is the passing of knowledge, experience and wisdom to the next generation.

How can YOU study bees and wasps?? They don't have serial numbers! :p

Oh well my friend, that post made my day! Thanks a lot.

But you won't believe it, they have ... at least my queens are all numbered! ;)
And even if they don't correspond to the PLAAF numbering system, I have them in red, in green ... and some are even in yellow and blue.

Thanks my friend and it's nice to hear that you are a teacher too. May I ask what are your subjects? (mine are usually Chemistry and Sports, but here it is a younger class, which have Nature Science as one united)

As for your question; Yes, we are indeed allowed in fact even endorsed to let the kids interfere but that was restricted very much since October until the school closed down again in December. And yes we too are now again teaching via homeschooling online aggain, ... really difficult and I don't like it.

what kind of queen behaviors are you monitoring? As I understand it, bees are so sensitive to weather, they are becoming sensors of global weather changes.

Chemistry and sport? That's unusual combination. But I supposed it depends on the level you're teaching.

Mine is economics and accounting. (because I've degrees in both subject) It is to pre-university students. It is funny this year, I hear from my colleagues that some students are "behaving better" (I don't get this problem, because I stamp it out quite hard). Because of the pandemic this year, there are no exams. The students grades are to be assessed by their lecturers. So some students are being extra nice. Lol

And don't get me wrong, we encourage group participation as well. But it just this pandemic thing At the moment. Everyone has to be two meter apart etc. I see you got mask on. We've to have mask and visor, and some lecturers even wear gloves. But now we moved online because of lick down. Im Germany is in lock down too. I thought your country was one of the better ones in fighting this pandemic.
