So the Disus-Z suspension is their own in-house developed technology. I would be very disappointed if they had adopted an American system.

Side note: In the 90s, Nissan introduced their active suspension using sonar in one of their top models. It did not work as advertised and the ride was better when it was switched off and was never added in subsequent iterations.

U7's Disus-Z revolutionary suspension

HW/BAIC's JV Stelato unveils flagship S9 sedan

Ever since I saw Bose's electromagnetic suspension system I thought it'd be the future of suspensions at some point of time, and could be used to recover energy and charge batteries much like regenerative braking. I wonder if BYD has actually got it to work in a practical product?

This is the Bose video:

that's what BYD is claiming here

of course it is their own tech. Only NIO shamelessly take American tech and promote it endlessly

Huawei and 11 NEV makers will form a "supercharger" alliance to build more than 100,000 supercharging piles this year. Every NEV makers worth their salt should join this alliance. In fact, China should have unified supercharging, battery swapping, and hydrogen refueling architectures, the sooner the better.

Just thinking out loud here, but what if you were to put lidar sensor at the front underside of your car to scan the road ahead and then put that info into that fancy electro magnetic suspension

they already do that for N7 with its Disus-A air suspension and u8 with its Disus-P hydraulic suspension

btw, in this case, they don't need to use lidar sensors, they have dedicated laser scanner for that
