Unless I'm misunderstanding this, BYD seems to have decided on building a car plant in Vietnam. Just a matter of working out the terms. Again, I anticipate a plant in Vietnam & Indonesia. They may not all be as large as the Thailand factory though.

As BYD will expand investment into electric automobile production and assembly with the best technology to supply the Vietnamese market and export to the Southeast Asian region, he wished for favourable conditions to complete investment procedures and quickly put the electric car production and assembling project into operation. Along with that, BYD will establish a chain of supporting industrial enterprises for the electric car project, he added

I mean it's quite clear that Chinese companies just like to set up business in Vietnam. It's the closest to mainland supply chain and easiest to get workers that perform at same cost level as China itself. BYD already having it's electronics factory in Vietnam would know how to operate in local environment better than in other countries.

I think the success of the Thailand market has encouraged BYD to add more plants. I mean just Thailand alone can almost support the full 150k plant they promised to build there

BYD excelling in Israel. It's #4 in overall sales through 4 months of the year with over 7000 sales. Now, finally selling more than just Atto 3. Again, I think BYD export has been throttled by logistical issues

Denza sales chief with great news. I think the success of the brand has been really greater than my expectations. In a year so far where 150 to 300k segment is overly competitive, Denza's success in the luxury range has really been surprising

also i hear rumors that they have raised battery productions for May in anticipation due to the order optimism. I wonder if this is due to ICE brands not discounting as heavily or giving up? They also quite a bump post Shanghai motor show and with 5/1 weekend. The export figures should also be going up.

Why is this expected
For major shareholders want to offload their shares in HKSE, they need first to put their stocks in the clearing system. It has been awhile now that Berkshire Hathaway has put most of its shares of BYD in HK stock clearing system. Same thing with Naspers' Prosus, it has put many Tencent shares into HK clearing system waiting for the right price and right moment to sell.
