I think Musk mentioned recently that all data gathered via tesla vehicles will be stored in China, after tesla vehicles were banned from use during a large (~month long?) government workshop session. Not sure if the assurance was 'predictive' or already in place

I read this couple days ago. It seems tesla already made steps to ensure data is kept in China. ultimately it depends how much trust CPC has with telsa

Li Auto anticipated to use the new Kirin (Qilin) battery from CATL. I think Neta also expressed interest.

More Details on BYD's new luxury brand that will get announced. The first expected product is an off-roader. The second one is a very large luxurious sports car. This will use a new BEV platform (not hybrid). It will have range of 1000 km and be able to go from 0 to 100 in under 3 seconds and use the newest LFP Blade Battery.

That's not a small investment by legacy standard, but BYD has this number crushed.

One more thing, BYD was tasked with building cars for autonomous delivery service Nuro. where Nuro provides autonomous driving functions and BYD designs/builds the vehicle.

I see online that the hardware/software integration for this has now been completed. It seems to me they need a new factory location in America if they were to build cars for Nuro and then for itself. The existing Lancaster plant is pretty maxed out for different production.

But that’s just my wild guess ,so far nobody know anything for sure , I just don’t believe there are people this stupid out there.

Were the two dead pedestrians? Because they said the driver said he stepped on forward instead of reverse. Shit.

That's why the "Uyghur Labor Law" will fail.

No. They were the testers inside the vehicle. As you pointed out, preliminary investigation points to driver error.

Regarding the Qilin battery, it can be charged to 80% of its full capacity in 10 minutes. The energy density is 255Wh/kg, and is cooled all-around instead of bottom only, and the temperature control time is cut by half, so thermal runaway is drastically reduced.

The first 2 customers are Li Auto and Neta:
