I'm pretty sure that ain't no flotation bag, those are probably side mounted antennas

For comparison - you may be right. My thinking was an AR-2000 is worth saving if it ends up taking a swim

I would say they are flotation devices. It is already carrying a search radar onder the nose.

It doesn't have to be a radar.

They could be ESM/passive sensors.

Flotation devices are usually put in to safe the crew, not the airframe. Which regularly, eventually, sinks and is not recovered.
