The Euro-Russian Rover/lander mission to Mars is in final testing. It has been delayed multiple times due to issues with the lander and parachutes. ESA asked for NASA help with the chutes and everything appears to be sorted.

Whatever you think about Musk and his various antics, I feel like they might be on the verge of something special with Super Heavy / Starship. At the very least, should it all come together, they will have built the most powerful rocket in history! I don't know that it will have the largest payload to LEO, GTO, etc but I still think it will be an incredible technical achievement if they can make it reusable with the frequency they want.

This picture captures an element of the classic, "lunch atop a skyscraper" from 1932 (below) and is one of my personal favourite photos in recent memory. The sheer scale is amazing, as is the hands on and can do attitude that I believe this picture expresses.

And...Russia cannot move their own modules from ISS to another station due to the inclination differences planned. The hullabaloo over Russia threatening to pull their modules to create their own station turns out to be little more than noise it seems. You have to wonder why Nauka was launched then. After all, Russia could have saved it for the new station.

Russia claims they will launch the core module for their next gen station in 5 to 6 years:

If ISS retires before Russia launches its own national space station, then they might be only using the Chinese (if China let's them fly directly and independently) and the Axiom space station.
