Not sure if this is the correct thread to post this. From what I read in the link below, China crackdown a pirated foreign contents website -- Renren Yingshi -- What the west always cry for intellectual property infringement but it sounds to me that CNN sympathize the site and blame China for cracking down western voice. How do you think?

I saw the movie "Ice" (2018) a Russian figure skating sports/comedy. New to Russia cinema so didn't really know what to expect. This film has a certain Eastern sentimentality to it, and the humor works well and doesn't feel forced. Overall, a very pleasant surprise. The soundtrack is good as well, although I didn't know any of the songs. Now I might watch "Ice 2" (2020).

So I'm watching the last season of Van Helsing on the Syfy channel. If you haven't watched it before and you chose to now watch its final season and then took a gander at an episode from the first season, you would ask yourself, "This is the same show?" It's not a great show but it kept me mildly entertained. The show started out as a vampire apocalypse. It followed a group of survivors led by a woman who is many generations later related to the legendary Van Helsing. Every character from the first season either died or you just don't see them anymore. The last two seasons it's been taken over by a younger cast as the protagonists apparently aiming for a younger audience and because of that, the narrative of the show has been ruined. That's a jump the shark sign the show is about to die which is why it's the last season. I notice this happening with a lot of shows these days. The whole line of DC comic TV shows use to be again somewhat entertaining. Now they're pretty bad. I swear I believe I've seen every episode and all of the sudden when did this person show-up and he or she all-of-sudden is a main cast member now? I can't say they're the reason why the shows are bad now. It's probably a sign they ran out of ideas.

Friends tell me that the new "Mortal Combat" movie was made worse with the introduction of a new main character who had nothing to do with "Mortal Combat" game
