I dont think any West European city should be in the list. Mckinsey gave Moscow Public transport No 2 ranking based on broad criteria without Big Circle line completion and that alone is like adding another city with future capacity expansion and interconnections. It also got award in apps. and effective management of covid when you look at scale of use and not stopping at all.

Well if you've noticed, there's a lot of these "best lists" going on lately on internet news platforms. I saw one about "Countries with the best engineers in the world". China wasn't on the list of I think around 20 countries. All of them were Western mostly European. Same goes with this best cities in the world for public transportation. Seems like an organized pro-West propaganda campaign.

It was mentioned San Francisco had a better public transit system than Beijing. I don't know about Beijing but ever since the earthquake in San Francisco 30 years ago, two main freeway arteries were destroyed and not rebuilt. It makes it a whole lot harder just getting across the city by any means. I bet they don't factor in safety because a lot people get robbed and violently attacked in San Francisco public transportation.

China lashes out at von der Leyen over fiery remarks

Beijing’s envoy to Brussels is ‘disappointed’ by Commission chief’s speech.

BRUSSELS — Ursula von der Leyen isn’t making friends in China.

The Commission president did not pull any punches in a speech Thursday about China — sparking blowback from Chinese diplomats.

Fu Cong, China’s ambassador to the European Union,

Friday he was “a little bit disappointed.”

“That speech contained a lot of misrepresentation and misinterpretation of Chinese policies and the Chinese positions,” Fu told state-owned broadcaster CGTN.
“Whoever wrote that speech for President von der Leyen does not really understand China or deliberately distorted Chinese positions,” he added.

Doesn't look like China is happy with the Governor General of Europe von der Leyen's recent speech. Macron's plans seem dead on arrival, the only thing I'm expecting is some annoucement about France joining the BRI.

Maybe this is why the USG is all of sudden trying to scale back tensions with China after a decade of actively trying to contain China, and full on 'all of society' race warfare for the past half decade.

Bigger mystery to me is why the sue-happy americans havent sued gordon chang for making investment decisions based on his 'predictions'. George Soros famously tried to short China and HK and got burnt and couldnt close his trades due to HK mysteriously having a power problem when he needed to action it, so he ended up getting raped multiple times.

What protections will the europeans provide to ensure they're not gonna pike out the way the Italians did with BRI when they went ahead and appointed a washington stooge to handle the country?
