His widow described his mental state before he started conversing with the chatbot as worrying but nothing to the extreme that he would commit suicide.

According to the Belgian newspaper, Pierre, who was in his thirties and a father of two young children, worked as a health researcher and led a somewhat comfortable life, at least until his obsession with climate change took a dark turn.

Doesn't look like China is happy with the Governor General of Europe von der Leyen's recent speech. Macron's plans seem dead on arrival, the only thing I'm expecting is some annoucement about France joining the BRI.

Exactly, my first thought was, what a stupid thing to die for. He was some kind of scientist too, so you'd think he'd know better. But I've found out the biggest believers are the Silicon Valley tech crowd. They really love buying into their own hype.

Tech is the new religion there, and tech billionaires are the prophets. Climate change is going to make the world uninhabitable? No need to change your gas-guzzling consumer habits, daddy Elon's spaceships will take us all to a new planet to pollute.
