Yikes, poppy-spiked noodles with the ability to get you addicted? What the hell? Does it really work that way?
That's harsh punishment for growing poppy. But given China's history with opium, it is understandable.
Hmm. This makes me wonder. Are poppy seed bagels illegal in China then? Would the baking and trading of poppy seed bagels makes you liable to be jailed for 5 years by Chinese law?
I remember they used to put those in hot pot soups. Never knew it was illegal, and I highly doubt it's addictive.
