Guys, your missing the point. The US is the way it is because this is the natural progression of Capitalism. Imperialism is the result of Capital seeking new sources of resources and labor to exploit.

China becoming more powerful will only curb America's imperialist ambitions, but it will do nothing to correct the degeneracy of Capitalism at home. Your political system is so firmly under the control of Capitalists that nothing short of a violent revolution can free you.

I am sorry to say but America shows all the signs of a Chinese dynasty entering its final years. The rulers become detached from the needs of the people and are only motivated by their continued hold on power. Special interest groups fight each other for power. Society becomes ever more stratified and ossified. Corruption becomes rampant and blatant.

Historically, there are only three possible outcomes from this degeneration: first is a popular revolution overthrowing the entire system, second is fragmentation as the interest groups carve out their own domains, and third is a transition into dictatorship following the rise of a popular leader. In my judgment the latter two are the most likely possibilities for the US.
I'm trying to not be devoid of hope over here. I can't exactly do a whole lot about my situation.

Probably because somebody competent in the Japanese military pointed out to him that all the 055s, carriers, LPDs and LHDs would be of limited use in a Taiwan scenario, but would be perfect to island hop all the way up to the Japanese home islands.

Chinese military strategists are not idiots and are not afraid of dreaming big.

If they are expecting direct US military intervention in Taiwan, then they will also be expecting Japan and Australia to tag along.

In the event of a decisive Chinese victory, with the US Pacific fleets, along with the Japanese and Australian fleets erased from the world’s oceans, it would offer China a perfect opportunity to obliterate the second island chain via direct invasion.

I doubt China would want to invade the Japanese home islands or Red Dawn Australia, but China will be well within its rights to take Okinawa and all surrounding islands on the basis that those islands were once again used by the Japanese to launch a war of aggression against China, so they will never be allowed to be used in such a way again.
#FreeRyukyuIslands -- when push comes to shove, that's the moment to help the Ryukyu Islands regain their freedom under Chinese protection -- something that the Chinese ancestors failed to deliver long in the past against those pirate descendants. Just imagine so many old debts to settle... who's the great fool to bring all the old very bitter wounds to the center of attention at the table top?

Dont drink Xi' kool-aid. He talks a not about "muh housing is not for investment" but when it comes to action its nothing. Shanghai and Shenzhen have spiralled out of control already

The proposed property tax is still being "studied" since ~2005 lol

So delete Xi's nice PR and instead look at this

Lets wait for him to pass the property tax and then listen to his fantasy speeches
Don't worry about other people drinking "Kool-aid" or whatever; it's your ingestion of lead chips causing you to start sentences with the imaginary word, "muh" whenever in disagreement that should be your main concern.

I trust the words of of a leader who pulled hundreds of millions out of poverty, crushed Trump's trade war and is crushing the American tech war over someone who invents a 3 letter word to express frustration any day.

So?

Over a year after a Galwan and this is the best he could do other than ban some Chinese apps? Has he even named China once?

What China should do is not engage in some useless war or words but ramp up domestic and military infrastructure construction along the borders. Improve the lives of Tibetan farmers and herders unless they exceed and/surpass those of first tier Indian cities. Eliminate old gear like Type-88s and J-7/J-8s and replace them with Type-99A, J-16/J-20s. Rotate troops and drill them hard at high altitude, use up the equivalent of India’s stockpile of ammo every sixth months to keep the troops sharp. Connect Tibet with the rest of China via high speed rail and dual use airports and keep drilling tunnels through the mountains to improve connectivity. That is what China actually needs to do.
That's why we are witnessing the 2nd railway access to the plateau, Chengdu-Lhasa Railway under construction now, the middle section, the most difficult part passing through the Qilian Mountains. Also the 3rd one, Kunming-Lhasa Railway, under planning. Btw the High-Speed Railway connecting Lhasa-Nyingchi has been in operation shortly before the celebration of the CPC100, this section will also be part of both Chengdu-Lhasa Railway and Kunming-Lhasa Railway.

And from an IND blogger:
