So their position is now clear regarding Taiwan

Lmao. Let me fix that for you, "Okinawa" will definetely be attacked if Japan intervenes. The moment Japan helps the US is the moment Japan will sink with it.

(scmp)

Brings a tear to my eye seeing a servant ready to give his life for his Lord. This is the real Samurai honour! To die for another country. So honourable, admirable and courageous
He's just walked back on those statements. Why is Japan being so passive aggressive and coy about it ? They probably think that they can scare China with that type of behavior. Japanese know a trade embargo from China will set back another decade.

I used to think there was no way something like the Chinese Exclusion act could ever happen again, but I'm no longer sure.

Thing is I don't want my country to fail, I want them to succeed. But we need a solid check on our power. No one can survive long term without consequences for their negative actions, they get arrogant and lazy. I genuinely look forward to the day China forces us to take a step back on the national stage.

I myself feel a similar sentiment as America is my home country too but I can't help but feel that we Americans have become too detached from reality. Yet, it is easy to proclaim morality and pass judgment when you are fed from a silver spoon and live with privilege.

The sooner the US learns its lesson, the better it will be for it. Sometimes you have to face hardship in order to become stronger for it. America needs to learn to give on Imperium and playing police and refocus its time and resources to addressing its domestic issues like its crumbling institutions and infrastructure first. However, I also think it's too proud, too distracted, and too corrupted by its elites to be able to change until a true crisis happens.

This imo because most Americans have never really faced a crisis like people developing countries have nor have the country fought a real war on its soil since the Civil War. Despite fighting in WW1 and WW2, it has not known the humiliation complete and utter defeat nor the rage and anger of having your people genocided or raped by a foreign power. So it is able to pretend things it does in Iraq and other places are justifiable because it is an exceptional power with the acts done for the greater good of humanity because i.e. "freedom and democracy and capitalism."

The worst attack that Americans have ever faced was 9-11 and before that Pearl Harbor (which is barely even a fraction of terror and tragedy witnessed by other countries) and Americans act like the few thousand dead Americans (while tragic and unexcusable) is the worst atrocity ever. The issue wasn't the death of Americans but having their illusion of invulnerability be broken and how someone that presumed inferior at the time (non-Whites i.e. IJN or Al-Queda) could challenge that fantasy.

I gave 8 years of my life serving this ungrateful joke of a country and now I want to see it get violently humbled. Americans need a hard lesson on humility and I hope the PLA and Russia as well give it to them.

Guys, your missing the point. The US is the way it is because this is the natural progression of Capitalism. Imperialism is the result of Capital seeking new sources of resources and labor to exploit.

China becoming more powerful will only curb America's imperialist ambitions, but it will do nothing to correct the degeneracy of Capitalism at home. Your political system is so firmly under the control of Capitalists that nothing short of a violent revolution can free you.

I am sorry to say but America shows all the signs of a Chinese dynasty entering its final years. The rulers become detached from the needs of the people and are only motivated by their continued hold on power. Special interest groups fight each other for power. Society becomes ever more stratified and ossified. Corruption becomes rampant and blatant.

Historically, there are only three possible outcomes from this degeneration: first is a popular revolution overthrowing the entire system, second is fragmentation as the interest groups carve out their own domains, and third is a transition into dictatorship following the rise of a popular leader. In my judgment the latter two are the most likely possibilities for the US.

No rather, Japan is terrified of the US going "that's it I'm out of here" as they are in fact doing right at this moment in Afghanistan, but instead for the Western Pacific.

Should that happen South Korea will immediately change tone and put out the posture that they want to be a Chinese protectorate and China would welcome that. Japan on the other hand will be facing an ascendant super power alone, with many historical bad blood between them.

That's why you are seeing Japan going out of their way to piss off both China and Russia at the same time, yet also constantly walking it back. They aim to use this to keep the US fixed in Western Pacific for as long as possible.

Japan despises China, and has no remorse for the crimes it has committed against China.

But to Americans, Japan is as gentle as puppies, they respect America, love Americans, want to kiss American feet, and they try to forget that Americans have destroyed their Great East Asian dream, , bombed all their cities, dropped atomic bombs on their heads, took most of their territory after the war, stationed on Japanese territory and raped countless Japanese women, and tried to destroy the Japanese economy when it started to threaten the American economy

Japan is an intelligent and talented race. But they are also cowards, bullying the weak and fearing the strong. Americans are respected by Japan because they broke Japanese teeth and ruled Japan with whips.

In the case japan dares to interfere in taiwan conflict, all it takes just a dozen or so of hypersonic missile strikes on daiichi nuclear power plants (still oozing radioactivity and it will take decades more to decomission) it will ensure that jsdf, jsmdf have their hands full on evacuating millions japanese citizens out of tokyo therefore have no time for shenanigans in taiwan straits
I am pretty sure japanese leaders understand this fact

Probably because somebody competent in the Japanese military pointed out to him that all the 055s, carriers, LPDs and LHDs would be of limited use in a Taiwan scenario, but would be perfect to island hop all the way up to the Japanese home islands.

Chinese military strategists are not idiots and are not afraid of dreaming big.

If they are expecting direct US military intervention in Taiwan, then they will also be expecting Japan and Australia to tag along.

In the event of a decisive Chinese victory, with the US Pacific fleets, along with the Japanese and Australian fleets erased from the world’s oceans, it would offer China a perfect opportunity to obliterate the second island chain via direct invasion.

I doubt China would want to invade the Japanese home islands or Red Dawn Australia, but China will be well within its rights to take Okinawa and all surrounding islands on the basis that those islands were once again used by the Japanese to launch a war of aggression against China, so they will never be allowed to be used in such a way again.

In the past, Japan used to be backward and inferior to China, they sent emissaries to China to learn culture and technology from China. After that, they began to repeatedly try to attack Korea and China, organize groups of bandits to raid the Chinese coast, invade China's interior.

By the 19th century, Japan began to learn from the West and became rich and civilized. The Japanese began the policy of expansion, attacking, pillaging, massacring China, and finally attacking and provoking the West.

World War II, Japan was defeated by the US, deprived of many territories, they were humiliated and raped by the Americans. Japan is very patient, they are learning from the Americans. The United States is their master now, but they will behead America if they have a chance to rise again.

Japan is a combination of GouJian and Lubu. Patience, calm and betrayal.
