The rest of the survey presents some less bad results but lMO China is definetely not doing well.
"Soft Power" is the other name of "diminished hard power". The first time "soft power" enters the public was when Hilary Clinton said so. Did the USA use this word before? Why didn't Gorge W Bush and his predecessors use this word? That tells you that "soft power" is not a power but a 遮羞布 (piece of cloth to cover one's private part). The more "soft power" one talks, the less real power one has left.
No, IMO China is doing a perfect job. I would rather having my potential enemies afraid of me, hating me than they approves me. I would enjoy China being protested by Japan, SK and most importantly the USA than the other way around like in the past.
Haven't you in multiple early posts advocated China to take tougher measures in its international dealings? What do you expect from a tougher stance? Admire? You must make up your mind about what you really believe.
I must say that you seem fully buying into the BS of the western "stage setting". That is what the west define as a win is the win. That definition is ONLY valid if China follows that "stage setting" (the G2 model). But China is aiming much higher, to overthrow that setting, to totally overhaul the world order. To destroy the old system and build new one will certainly bring lots of disapproval from the parties (SK and Japan) that benefit from the old system. How could one expect being approved by the enemies?
