I wouldn't be surprised that all this attention is actually inspiring more attacks on Asians out of spite. It's not like Asians are actually going to do something themselves so it's not like these racists are going to be afraid for their lives. I don't know how many of you here have heard about the muggings in SF Chinatown before these latest incidents that have gotten attention nationally. If anyone knows SF Chinatown, Stockton Ave. is probably the most busiest street full of people in all of San Francisco during the most active hours. These criminals from the outside come into Chinatown with the street packed with locals and mug and beat people out in the open in front of everyone. They don't fear consequences because they know Asians especially immigrants won't fight back. The only way this will stop is if they're dealt with right then and there and then news will go back to their friends they brag about this to that inspires them to do it...
As a Chinese in Texas I gotta worry about getting shot, freeze to death in my own home, get decapitated by a Fedex 18 wheeler on the tollroad, become victim of the CIA biovirus, victim of CIA computer virus, or getting rounded up once US and China get into hot kinetic action...

This is very surprising.

What is surprising to me, is there is no end game here. What comes next, for the anti-China people, is the same old lobbying.

After playing the China evil genocide card, there really are not many more explosive cards left to play, other than military invasion imminent card, which is not existent.

For example, the Comprehensive Agreement on Investment, which is a treaty between China and the EU. This is a done deal. It amalgamates all of the individual treaties of EU member states into one big treaty. For whatever reasons if the CAI is not passed, then China and some European nations like Germany, will cut their own improved investment treaty, bypassing the EU entirely.

I think China is in a no lose position with this.

What seems to be going on here, is the battle inside Europe, for what EU-China relations should be like.

China should make them eat it, the losing side this battle. I am pretty sure which side is going to win this debate in Europe. What we are seeing is not a movement, but a protesting vote at the changing of the guard. China should make them eat it.

How funny that will be.

:p

On second thought, I think this anti-China movement almost dead in most parts of the west.

I read an article, which is the truth, that there were three big meetings recently between some countries. This is an objective fact.

There was a NATO meeting.
There was a G7 meeting.
There was a Munich defense/security meeting.

This all happened in the past two months these meetings. This is the part where we can debate what is true or not, such as what was the biggest anti-China declaration to come out of these 3 meetings? (I don't know, was not really paying attention).

Was these non-binding motions on genocide in China the biggest anti-China moves from the west, including those 3 meetings?

It could be.

Guess they got to keep their hopes up these anti-China people that the next G7 meeting or NATO meeting would be more inline with their anti-China mindset.

My feeling, looking at it this way from the meetings just concluded, it is close to dead this anti-China moves to really materially affect anything.

It does stop the overall trajectory of what is going on with China and the world. Not even close. There is nothing there, except tabloid like newspaper articles.
