LOL Obviously, Japan's the Western pet dog after the Plaza Accords. These Western nations suffered defeat after defeat as they confronted China trying to stop its rise; they withdrew because they have much lower pain thresholds than Japan, which is basically in recession and doesn't care how much worse it gets. So they cheer the Iron Lady Kamikaze pilot because she's still brave/stupid enough to continue attempting to do what they can no longer bear to continue, and they don't care how much damage Japan has to take cus everybody likes to watch car wrecks as long as it's not their car.

Only Russia and North Korea truly supports China's stance, because they understand. The Russians have been at the receiving end of neo-fascists killing their people in Ukraine. The Nazis have killed over 27million Russians in WW2, yet the West fully backs the Ukrainian Nazis and even celebrates Russian and Ukrainian deaths by their hands. Fascism have become a casual matter for the West, but never to Russia, China, and North Korea.

Looking at Russia's case, I anticipate a bunch of stupid countries lining up with Japan to take shots at China. They only dare to poke China because they think that China could be ganged up on. This is why the only path forward for China is to become so overwhelmingly powerful, that nobody dares to pick a fight. Let them moan about China's accelerating military and economic buildup. They asked for this.

Just wanted to remind anyone who feels ganged up on that the combined population of all these western subservient and leashed countries in East Asia and SEA is less than half of China's. If we are going by "western" principles of democracy in which the good of the majority always overrules the wants of the minority, then China is entitled to secure her needs and wants every single time. If we are going by a discrete unit of "country" then out of all the 193 countries of the UN, a tally of those that support China over her enemies wins out hands down every single time. The world is NOT ONLY Anglo/European physically and mentally colonized countries. Do not fall into the trap of China's enemy's narrative that China is in the wrong and outnumbered. It is NOT TRUE.

From a pure realpolitik perspective from China, this would work out amazingly. It means complete and utter final annihilation of any of the Russian oligarchs that still might simp for Europe and US for their own pockets. Let them try to advocate for warming up the thaw with the west after something like this. Enjoy the polonium tea and free-fall flights from 30th storey balconies in the future.

Russia ground forces size is 1.5m while overall military is 2.4m. out of 1.5m approximately 700K is inside Ukraine.
Now Russia Airpower, Air defense and Navy is outside Ukraine and that number will be closer to 1m now or even more as drones is separate branch and much broader training across the country with civilian.
Putin said in 2023 that Russia makes more air defense systems than rest of world combined and that production is essentially doubled in 2025. now what is inside Ukraine may not all be Russian citizens but this is the closest number that can be calculated.
NATO and Ukraine will have to demonstrate post Covid numbers that are deployed and active over a period of time.
