There are nationalists everywhere. The difference is that in China, the CPC reins them in. Whereas in the West those nationalists are effectively encouraged by their government to pillage and plunder.
Case in point, the debacle over the K-Visa. It's not even a "smart policy" ala 4d chess move, its just a pure logical reaction to America closing its doors off to skilled immigration that even Canada and the EU are exploiting. And it's a policy that will be pursued regardless of how much scaremongering ultranationalists peddle online about Beijing becoming 50% Indian in the future and Tiannamen Square becoming a giant Friday night Bhangra dance floor. (Although Douyin vids of public space dance offs between Indian expats and Chinese aunties sounds kinda lit, not going to lie lol)

Are they trying to wegde the 2?
You ever seen a man's final moments when his gun's out of bullets, his knife is snapped in half, his leg is broken from a fall and he's trapped in a dead end with a grizzly bear closing in on him? He doesn't do many useful things at that point but he does try many things, or rather, the same useless things many times. This is the nation version of that.

Like I said. The policy's intention has nothing really wrong. Its just the execution of it.

Its amazing how just a few groups can ruin something for the rest of the world.

Chinese culture is actually very old school, akin to the paterfamilias vendettas of Ancient Rome. The right of vengeance is lauded still in Chinese society compared to the slave morality of western values which inculcates a slave mindset amongst its people to maintain its feudal power structure.

whether true or not, this is realpolitik; as real as soviets dismantling factories in Manchuria to send to Russia.
I'm agree. Also he's right.
Chauvinism is always a bad idea. It advocates for overreach, and fosters unhealthy attitudes. Hell, it's basically the disease that infected the Americans, and I'd much rather it doesn't happen to China.
Chauvinism is normal human behavior. Common enemies made nation united and people motivated

I call BS. You don’t have to be Indian to be pro India
all your comments are very skewed towards pro India.
at least many here don’t pretend to be absolutely unbiased here
I support the underdog just like I supported China during its early days of industrialization.

the irony is not lost upon me that all these other global south comments saying like "im so glad chinas going to take the lead, they'll never bully us like the united states" have simply never heard the chinese talking candidly amongst themselves.

Statements like this shows you neither have close enough relation with any Chinese to know what they candidly say nor do you have good understanding of the world.

Fact is China has much more to gain by helping the global south and to bully the west.

The west is commercial competitor with China and their market is increasingly shrinking due to their own economic decline and protectionist policy. China will gain less and less benefit working the west.

Global south is not commercial competitor with China, their market and resource is open to China and their market and human resource will be fast growing due to demographics. China will gain more profit by helping and developing the global south.

Pretty simple logic here, yeah?

And if Europeans try to enslave your people again, and was rightfully defeated by your people, you would rather their institution for initiating the aggression remain? I am not following your train of thoughts.
That dude is a liberal with BDSM mental issues. He knows that the Nazis are evil, but he finds every excuse for the Japanese Imperial Institution. He goes so far as to justify Japan getting nukes if China dares to threaten the Chrysanthemum Throne. He just loves the Japanese Emperor.

A typical raging liberal with no cow sense of actual history. Nazi bad, but Japanese Emperor good. Anyone opposes him, and he calls them basement imperialists. As the saying goes, scratch a liberal, a fascist bleeds.

P.S. When he is mad, he likes to talk about sitting down young boys and whipping their butts with leather. The guy a sicko.

What have you heard the Chinese say? Better yet, what have you actually heard from the Global South? Because what I hear from the Global South is an incoherent mess, constantly switching between China good and China bad. Same thing with the US. The truth is that the Global South just couldn't care less. They'll just go with the flow.

China just loves business and couldn't care less about the internal affairs of the Global South. They are not sending missionaries and NGOs to tell smaller nations to become just like China. They would love a good deal, but if the smaller nation wants to cheat and steal their investments, China is just gonna complain and suspend trade. No sanctions, sabotage, colour revolution, nor military action. Try that with American investments and see the difference.

Actions speak louder than words. Who cares what a few idiots in the Chinese internet say. If you're a small nation, trading with China had proven to be more productive and safer than with the US.

Ultimately libs who claim to support China don't really believe in it when things are tough. They don't believe it can truly win.

They still end up subscribing to that winology crap that China is acting out of place for being assertive. Coz China has only recently become strong so it doesn't register in their heads yet. A long established power has historical legitimacy, institutional backing, and narrative control to say its simply being assertive over bullying after all. In fact I would say the reason the west is losing legitimacy and getting called out more is more to do with the loss of power instead.

I was revisiting that mess between Lithuania and China on that Taiwan office that lead to China sanctions. Back then Covid was in full spring and the spotlight was on China. China was called a karen for trying to say what Lithuania does. What they are doing is bullying, throwing away their goodwill and acting like some imperialist etc.

Fast forward to today. People don't really say that anymore. Ask Lithuanian people themselves who voted out Gabrielius Landsbergis (the most vocal advocate of it) as well a lot of the incumbent party at that time. Per polls, they didn't agree with how the government handled China and Taiwan relations at the time stating that this values based policy brought unnecessary pain. Gitanas Nausėda said it was a mistake although this is just damage control.

Lithuania is still causing trouble although more quiet. But China acted assertive and didn't lose its goodwill. Rather it shows that it should be taken seriously and that it deserves respect. Even now I would say its still not really given the respect it actually deserves. People are just begrudgingly giving it coz they don't really have a choice.

Speaking of which China being able to effectively sanction others is a new thing too. Seriously not long ago people laughed at the idea China could do sanctions. Now when China does it to Lithuania banks for example you have the EU begging China to reconsider. Funny how the idea of sanctions when it was done to China never bothered them.
