It would be foolish to do so. If US is unable to achieve regime change, the next best thing would be for an isolated Iran viewed as a pariah state by its neighbors in the gulf. Iran shouldn't fall for the US trap. Iran should try to act as the reasonable party here, and continue to work towards normalization of relations with the gulf states and its neighbors.
People are not going to convince me that US capitalists are going to miss out on selling their oil for a nice big fat profit outside of the US versus selling it domestic.
Or Iran can just do a selective and partial blockade Houthis style on just the west, drive up oil prices but allow enough through for gulf states to still make the same amount of money, win win.
