Big pump happening off of that announcement, as expected Trump caved in response to the markets.

Of course the target was always China; and in that regard the Trump administration is proceeding as expected to try & isolate China, as its vassals bend the knee (also expected, as vassals will vassal).
Remind me what did Trump get out of the vassals?

Hmm. It seems that Shanghai is doing well despite low GDP per Capita lower than Mississippi . Could this mean GDP Per Capita isn't an effective metric as its just a number on screen (nominal even goes up and down like the stock market for Turkey)? Or the US has overinflated its scores?

No its China that is wrong.

This is something I noticed. Despite westoids claiming to be free thinkers, they always assume their system and their metrics are absolute. That if something is contradictory its not them who is wrong but others. How is this any different from the Church back in the day screeching when people started realizing what they told was BS? Yeah man, I'm totally sure Ireland with its Leprechaun economics is the third richest place in the world.

Just remember not too long ago they also said Chinese could never study well, communism would never work or that liberal democracy is the end of time system.
it is completely retarded to compare one city gdp compared to one state and even then shanghai has 12 times the population of Mississippi so of course the gdp per capita is going to be slightly lower.

LMAO after all these cuts to government spending Trump comes in and blows up the budget anouncing an increase to military spending to 1$ trillion.

he isn't cutting spending, he is just refunneling it. instead of it going to the average American it's gonna go to the billionaire class in the military industry complex.

Trump, Hegseth promise record $1 trillion Pentagon budget

President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth pledged a first ever $1 trillion defense budget proposal on Monday, a record sum for the military.

Trump, during a press event with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said the upcoming budget would be “in the vicinity” of $1 trillion.

“COMING SOON: the first TRILLION dollar @DeptofDefense budget,” Hegseth posted from his personal account. “(PS: we intend to spend every taxpayer dollar wiselyon lethality and readiness).”

imagine that. you are a Trump supporter who is sick of rising costs so you elect this fake populist leader hoping he would finaly spend money to raise your living standards and fix the country. but then Trump's guy comes in and he tells you "we will spend every tapayer dollar... on lethality". spending 1$ trillion is in itself an unwise thing to do because you should spend that money to build your nation rather than spending it on weapons.

people in red states support Trump because they blame China/east Asia for their diminishing living standards yet their solution is quite illogical. they think if they can get those low wage, labor intensive factory jobs back from east Asia then this will somehow raise their living standrads! rather than looking to blame foreigners for their situation, Trump supporters should blame their successive governments including Trump who instead of following a policy of America first has followed a policy of military industrial complex first, Israel first, private health insurance companies first etc..
With a strong military, the Hegemon can rob other countries.
