Right? The thing is if US signals Taiwan is for sale and we can start haggling over the price then that's for US. Taiwan could still jump the boat and negotiate a price on their own. Question is who has the authority to make that deal DPP or KMT, and what price do they offer?
In terms of selling out I reckon DPP is better at it than KMT as they're more shameless and politically flexible.
