Now, I can sort-of understand more on why @Patchwork_Chimera had to literally non-stop banging his head onto his work desk, his bathroom wall and his steering wheel on his way to work/home every day, with Peter Zeihan/Ian Easton-type people populating the entire DC...

Ian Easton is DPP propaganda "journalist".

God forbid the next coronavirus pandemic comes from westoids eating raccoons like they keep accusing the Chinese of on bats for causing COVID, or civets for SARS.
If it means another million plus american fatties get eviscerated, I welcome it.

It never ceases to amaze me to see how many twitter users lose all signs of sentient thought the moment China crosses their minds. It's like watching someone get piss drunk and overdose on the strongest hallucinogens known to man, leading to some unholy combination of completely losing their inhibition and ejecting themselves from sane reality.

Most of those types are Asians trying to pose as white. Asians use specific information that Westerners wouldn't even bother knowing. There's something cultural about Asians that give themselves away when it comes to emotion that they have to go to the extreme. When I encounter Asian antagonists on the internet, it's like they have to spit venom every moment of the way. Anti-China Westerners are racist but not obsessive like Asian nationalists are on the internet. I see the same names of commentors like they're stalking any article about China just to say something negative. A white person is not going to spend the time drawing something like that cartoon. Asian nationalists like the anonymity where they pose as white on the internet so Chinese don't look at their nationality. You just have to look at their history to see what they're sensitive to and what pushes their buttons to what nationality they are.

Would it be better to push their buttons now or rub it in when they lose? Likewise, if the Murican public were actually aware of what the real capabilities of the PLA, would recruitment be up or down?

More buildup is needed, not less. It ill befits the largest economy in the world to have a smaller army than the no2. Especially when said no2 has invaded multiple countries illegally in the last 10 years.

What would be the best Chinese term for Songun (military-first), as in North Korea? I’d like to see China adopt a policy of Songun for a decade, or so!

What for? What benefits would more rapid expansion bring? What metric (other than numbers of carriers/5th gens) is China's army not the already the largest in the world? China does not and never will need to match the US in terms of power projection at extreme distances from Chinese territory. China should continue with its current allocation of total resources/funding into defense, maintaining current rates of increase in defense spending until total military spending reaches about 2% of GDP, no further. Resources should be allocated to investments that will benefit Chinese society and economy such as general R&D (not focused on military use specifically but potentially with future military/industrial applications), social security and social services, education, healthcare, and general support of the economy. Purpose of military is to provide security for the continued prosperity and well being of the Chinese people, not for bodily appendage measuring with any other nation.

CIA up to no good in Indonesia. I'm worried we'll have another Marcos or even worse Suharto in power after Joko Widodo leaves office.
Would anyone be surprised that the West would love to see anti-Chinese pogroms return where millions of Chinese are massacred just so Chinese influence is removed. Remember the US outsourced torture of Muslims thinking that made them not guilty of violating human rights.

Absolute amount of military spending, USA: > $800 billions, PRC: < $250 billions
Percent of military spending in GDP, USA: > 3%, PRC: < 2%
GDP growth, USA: 2 %, PRC: 5%

Anyone who knows primary school math can tell which regime is preferring guns to butter. Who is this retard author trying to fool? His boss who pays him the salary? Or the manager of the USG's anti-China propaganda fund?
