There's a good reason for that
1. Indian Freedom movement was defined through boycotts and protests. Gandhi during Non Cooperation Movement and Civil Disobedience Movement spearheaded boycott of British goods and institutions. Every child studies about it in school so its basically ingrained in Indian folks.
2. Indians through decades of brainwashing have come to believe that they're an cultural/economic giant and that the world cant ignore them anymore. Hence the collective resolve of 1.2 billion ppl will force any country/company to bend the knee.

So basically delusional nationalism on steroids.

Because we are still in a world where the Anglo Saxon people are still in a so called dominate position and because the media keeps on feeding the people lies about China none stop of course the Australian people on average will remain dumb on this issue and worse, will keep on parroting the values of democracy without thinking critically about whether it will even work.

However, I believe when the world is such that the Anglo Saxon race is no longer in a dominate position like they are now, I would imagine most of the white people in Australia will receive a shock so great that many will breakdown and should this be the case, expect that if australia tries to keep on forcing values on other even then, well don’t expect China to be so lenient and hopefully with luck, would kill many australia soldiers for once (I mean come on, they get to slaughter innocent lives and get away with it and conveniently ignore it like that afghan situation) so that maybe they will lose their so called idea that they are untouchable. Australia as a majority white nation is completely racist and it is going to take an act of God to wake them up for once since they always seem to get away with everything because of the US and UK (hence why i despise those nations so damn bad). So I am going to enjoy the on coming collapse of the west with some popcorn and should Rupert Murdoch get his, even better since I am getting quite sick of his lies putting Asian people in danger.

I think it's more about denying China a strategic resource like just like chips, jet engines, lithium, etc... this will be about denying China oil.

I am attending "Wings over Wairarapa" which is annual airshow mainly demonstrating aircraft from the past to the current. The U.S. sent a B52 from Guam to do a flypast before heading back. I suspect the USAF may have made arrangements to land in Australia on the return journey. The U.S. Charge de Affairs said it was to demonstrate U.S. capabilities. Perhaps China could have done the same with the Y20 to send shivers down the U.S. spine.

If the middle east don't want to sell oil to China, russia will be more than happy to swallow their market share and russian oil don't have to go through sea to reach China
Unless biden can also somehow persuade russia not to sell energy to China, which is very unlikely me thinks

Which is unfortunate for australian people, in fact its tragedy, it simply means that aussies must be prepared for their high living standard to decline significantly, no one in this world can prosper without trading with China especially for natural resources exporting country like australia that doesn't have any other industries to depends on
Now its up for scomo to tell his people why their living standards will decline, why it has to be this way, now its still too early, but when China trade sanctions starts to bite, it will be painful and in the long term not even iron ore will be spared since not only to reduce dependency but China is also determined to reduce greenhouse emissions and go green
When those universities goes under, and farmers and fishermen starts to commit suicide en masse (even in the best of times farmers are more at risk of suicide than the general population)

It is unfortunate but it’s the only way those racist trash can learn. They are too used to there white privilege that it would take a lot of pain to make them see reason. That and the fact there big brother the USA is there to blunt the impact but once that disappears, well they will need to do some serious soul searching unless they want to taste a real military strike since really, Australia should realise that by association with the USA, they have many enemies close to australia and not allies willing to help other then the USA in which the time is limited. Australia for all there bravado would be destroyed in one day by either Russia and China combined should Australia foolish try to run there mouth one time too many. In the future, the world will follow the direction of Asia, not the west which is already stagnating as this pandemic has shown all too clearly.

That being said, as an ABC I feel sad that this situation has come to this, but really to be honest and having experienced discrimination in Australia simply for looking different, I do believe that China has come a long way from back then and the west has fallen so much that they are just inches away from a SHTF situation, I feel that now is the time where the paradigm shifts from the west to Asia and I do feel this is a good thing for the world, (no matter how many western leaning supporters might feel in parroting the same lines without thought). The west has always gotten away with evil for so long that should the situation be reversed, it is going to take a lot to not return the same favor no matter how attractive it may be. I am fearful, yet intrigued by what is going to happen in the coming months since 2021 is the year of the OX, so it is also going to be an exciting year in more ways then one.

if this is true that that California is really going into the toilet in such a fashion, I fail to see how on earth is Biden supposed to build back better while at the same time trying to pick a fight with Russia and China at the same time while opening supporting dictators, yet trying to parrot the same human rights angle like a tone deaf retard. Ignoring your entirely unsubstantiated and rather disgusting aspersions against Jamal Khashoggi, what made his murder shocking was the fact that a foreign US-allied leader (MBS) ordered the murder of a US resident journalist, and the method of his execution (his body has still not been found).

Police violence leading to a low tier criminal is also disgusting, but George Floyd's killing receive huge attention in the media and in mainstream discourse - has the far more shocking killing of Khashoggi had the same effect?
