TSMC
Union rep says that the plant – which is set to make chips for – is “easily the most unsafe site” he’s seen in 17 years.

It's funny TSMC thinks that out of 12,000 American workers, not one of them would read this article and provide commentary of their observations and experiences at that jobsite.
I replied to another article on 9to5Mac about this project. I stated there that I had spent 10 months working on site. TSMC claims there have been no accident related deaths? Only one drug overdose? I arrived there in June of 2022 (about a year and a half after ground breaking). I was told then that there had already been one fatal drug overdose, two heart related deaths and one accidental death. By the time I left the project in May of this year, there was talk on site of four more. I personally never saw anybody killed there, so I can give them the benefit of the doubt about their claims of no fatalities. But, I can tell you for sure that place is the most dangerous place I've worked in almost 30 years. ADOSH was there "regularly" (about once every 3 months). I even heard that OSHA showed up one time! Most people would think that the biggest construction site in the U.S. would have more of a presence from OSHA (if not a mobile office on site). If they really did show up, they didn't do their job. No fines (and there could have been many to impose). No work stoppages. No interactions or random questioning of any workers.I get that as a major player in the semiconductor industry, you don't talk bad about your company. But, their claims that this is a safe job site are beyond comical.
