Foxconn exits US$20 billion Indian semiconductor joint venture, slowing country’s global chip hub march

"You can't spell Foxconn without C-O-N"
Foxconn saw what happened to Winstron. It's the predatory game that India is playing to steal businesses and factories from foreign firms.

It game works like this:
1) Foreign company JV's with an Indian company. Gets some initial incentives from the Indian government.
2) The JV Indian company, or Indian vendors, or both, screws with the foreign company.
3) Then the Indian government screws the foreign company with fines or taking the side of the Indian companies in any disputes.
4) Foreign company wants out of India. Puts its assets up for sale.
5) Indian tycoon buys up foreign company assets at great discounts. Adani gets into the cement business by buying up the assets of a departing Holcim. Tata becomes the first Indian company to assemble iPhones for Apple by buying assets from the departing Winstron.

So this the Indian masterplan to acquire whole new industries for its elites. Sooner or later, foreign investors are gonna find out and avoid India like the plague. Those businesses that those Indian tycoons acquired, it's gonna stagnate too because they bought those businesses, not built them.

I predict that Apple's adventure to manufacture in India is not gonna have a happy ending.

This is what happens when you are allowed to pretend you weren't Hitler's allies and not forced to atone for your sins.

The AIT is reportedly planning to expand its facilities, including taking over nearby school land, for additional office and warehouse space, a move the institute said was meant to reinforce the U.S.' "rock-solid commitment to Taiwan".
If the expansion goes ahead, the AIT's new premises will exceed the size of the United Nations Headquarters and surpass the area occupied by the U.S. Embassy in China, according to the Labor Party.
It strongly criticized the expansion plan in a statement, questioning why the AIT insists on expansion when the existing facilities already exceed the actual needs of its 600-strong staff.
It also raised concerns that the AIT might be planning to add helicopter pads and station more U.S. troops to evacuate U.S. citizens and DPP military and government officials in the event of a conflict to avoid a repeat of the scramble to evacuate the U.S. Embassy in the city then known as Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War.

It's self evident that the US is planning to build a warehouse full of US weapons and equipment in the middle of Taipei. Then after a carefully planned false flag provocation all those thousands of US soldiers in Taipei disguised as civilians will suddenly emerge in full US military equipment, daring China to attack US soldiers while they are securing the city. It's all blatantly obvious.

The EU asked the Turks to widen the "democratic" appeal of Turkish elections and soften up the conditions of the Kurds for the Turkish acession to happen. So, after decades of governments picked by the secular military, you got a muslim oriented government with Erdogan. Yes, the EU are the ones responsible for Erdogan being in power in the first place. The Turks basically met all their requirements. Except they still won't allow them to join. The reason they are not allowed in is kind of simple. With a population of 85 million they would have more voters than a country like Germany. Which would mean the French and Germans would lose their hold over the EU. No one wants the Turks to be in control. Simple as that.
German and French are net contributor so they are not going to lose there hold and decision are mostly consensus which only net contributors can influence.. infact a vibrant Turkey will lessen the budget on migration , integration, border management. so more funds available. this whole thing was short sighted. German are now asking Indians without German language. There is no Mexico next to Europe with strong population growth.

The German government’s top integration official, Reem Alabali-Radovan, condemned the New Year’s attacks and called for those responsible to swiftly be punished “with the full force of our laws.”

In an interview with the Funke media group, she also called for the perpetrators to be judged “according to their deeds, not according to their presumed origins, as some are doing now,” warning that this could cause further divisions in society rather than address the social causes of the problem.

That kinda goes with the territory when you run a sushi joint but can't import kaiju fishes from the source anymore.

It would likewise be hardly surprising if the butchers can't get any business during animal flu outbreaks.

Still, I'll bet you a buck "Chinese ban of Japanese seafood backfires. Local businesses hurt." will make the news round.

This after the infamous Russian little green men play in Crimea? It will only serve to give China the perfect justification to launch AR to defeat an obvious foreign military invasion? I only wish the US was so stupid.

I doubt that Mongolian nationalist will care about this at all, they aren't buddhist and certainly don't feel much connection with Tibet.
Amongst Tibetan separatists, he will be looked at with apprehension as he ain't Tibetan, as much as Tibetan separatists is tied wit Tibetan buddhism, they aren't about to embrace a Mongolian born in US as their spiritual leader.
Correct me if I am wrong but aren't they multiple lamas within the gelug sect and most of them are Anti Dalai Lama such as the Panchen Lama as well as other sects who also hate the Dalai Lama plus the bon religion.
