Gee Scotty, that's not what Dutton said. Maybe the ministers should hold a meeting first and make up their mind.
I think frankly Scotty and Dutton should mobilize the RAN and engage that ship, show PLAN who's boss. Invade Solomon Islands while you're at it too.

In conclusion: how could Dan let this happen?

Gonna need to lick the boot to save their own country's economy because of over-reliance on being the hub for finance and trade between US and China, and currently ensuing demographic collapse. Or just being the bone to throw at US, so that it doesn't feel isolated from ASEAN, as the other ASEAN countries don't wanna deal with their mess.

Just submit a form for merging Singapore to the Chinese
motherland, then its 58 Ethnicities with Malay and Indians joining the family, I guess.

How about we just deport the Indians back to India and Malays back to Malaysia. Singapore is built by Han Chinese. That's why it's a successful city state and not a third world country like Malaysia. Everyone here is too woke and politically correct to say it as it is, but Singapore is basically 70% Han Chinese dragging the remaining 30% over the finish line.

Lee Kuan Yew would have wanted Singapore to be fully Han Chinese and not be replaced by other ethnicity through neo-liberal immigration policies.

The continued success of Singapore hinges on it being a majority Han Chinese country. This is a fact. LKY was too much of a pragmatist to say so because it would spark serious ethnic tension which Singapore could not afford at the time. There is an unspoken policy of maintaining a 70-75% Chinese majority in Singapore. This means importing PRC/Taiwanese for every Malay or Indian that gets permanent residency. And yes, none of this is ever said out loud, because Singaporean youth are some of the most woke, politically-correct, anglo-worshipping, self-hating hanjians in the world. The older generation is still based for the most part but I worry about this country's future.

Lee Kuan Yew did say so.

Lee Kuan Yew on Race

I have said this on many a previous occasion: that had the mix in Singapore been different, had it been 75% Indians, 15% Malays and the rest Chinese, it would not have worked. Because they believe in the politics of contention, of opposition. But because the culture was such that the populace sought a practical way out of their difficulties, therefore it has worked.

I have said openly that if we were 100 per cent Chinese, we would do better. But we are not and never will be, so we live with what we have.
