Same with the Chinese nuclear program, which the movie Roaring Across the Horizon depicts. There's a scene near the start of the movie that depicts ex-PVA soldiers being trained across China, still holding an army issued cup indicating they are Korean War veterans. At the start of the project the general in charge of building Malan base explicitly told the soldiers that the country needed them in this moment and due to the secrecy required their family has not been informed weather or not they have survived the Korean War.Well, in the Manhattan Project they literally brought entire families over and cut them off from the world together.
That's how I realised Iran isn't that serious about acquiring nuclear weapons since they let their nuclear expert just live normally and go to the market to buy groceries and get assassinated.
