what does the UN charter say about any member of the P5 abrogating this duty and supporting any of the enemy states as a traitor?

US elites in civil war over china policy
I think China's setting things up for implementing some pretty severe sanctions on anyone associated with Japan's military, which of course including non-Japaneses entities.

NOTAM isn't closing airspace, it's just a notice you put out to let everyone know to watch out for activity. I personally issued NOTAMs before

That is why I said it “basically” closes it. How many airliners want to fly an hundred million dollar aircraft inside a potential military zone. Adding in the likelihood of insurance providers telling them to avoid the air space.

Huawei's chip performance has reached the H200 level!

And several months later. The US seems to be planning to dump H200 chips into China.

US mulls letting Nvidia sell H200 chips to China, sources say

The Trump administration is considering greenlighting sales of Nvidia's H200 artificial intelligence chips to China, people familiar with the matter said, as a bilateral detente boosts prospects for exports of advanced U.S. technology to China.

The Commerce Department,‌ which oversees U.S. export controls, is reviewing a change to its policy of barring sales of such ‌chips to China, the sources said, stressing that plans could change.

The White House and the Commerce Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Nvidia did not comment directly on the review but said current regulation does not allow the company to offer a competitive AI data center chip in China, leaving that massive market to ‌its rapidly growing foreign competitors.

The possibility signals a friendlier approach to China, after U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping brokered a trade ‍and tech war truce in Busan last month.

China hawks in Washington are concerned that shipments of more advanced AI chips to China could help Beijing supercharge its military, fears that prompted the Biden administration to set limits on such exports.

Faced with Beijing's muscular use of export controls on rare earth minerals, critical ‌for producing a raft of tech goods, Trump this year has threatened new restrictions on tech exports to China, but ultimately rolled them back in most cases.

The H200 chip, unveiled two years ago, has more high-bandwidth memory than its predecessor the H100, allowing it to process data more quickly.

It is estimated to be twice as powerful as Nvidia's H20 chip, the most advanced AI semiconductor that can legally be exported to China, after the Trump administration reversed its short-lived ban on such sales earlier this year.

Earlier this week, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, whom Trump has described as a "great guy," was among ‍the guests at the White House during Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit.

The Commerce Department announced this week it had approved shipments of the equivalent of up to 70,000 Nvidia Blackwell chips, Nvidia's next-generation AI chip, to Saudi Arabia's Humain and G42 of the United Arab Emirates.

That's obviously a FLG talking point. I was in Japan recently and they have a big presence there. I was outside a store waiting for my wife to finish shopping and some random woman walked up to me and handed me a pamphlet. I was like wtf is this and turned out it was a FLG pamphlet in mandarin with articles about CCP organ harvesting including one about Putin and Xi talking about it during the parade. It was rather annoying mostly because there are no public trashcans anywhere in Japan so I had to stuff it in my wife's shopping bag so I can get rid of it in the hotel later.
Not sure about FLG but the Moonies and other similar sects are big in Japan.

Almost everyone is disappointed with China's abstain on Trump's Israel-Palestine "peace" plan. Anyone knows why China abstained? Is that reasonable & acceptable?

They'd prefer for this war to be over but don't want the optics of explicitly approving so they abstained, simple as that. It's the same reason as the Russians.

Contra to what many claim here a veto is not tantamount to military intervention and would not obligate China do anything of the sort.

They are not biding time for anything; they let it pass because they wanted to. Chinese leaders have no political or ideological attachment to outcomes in Gaza beyond how it affects Chinese interests.

On one hand, anyone dying is a solemn event, respect to pilot and his family.
On other hand, the JF-17/J-20 temu jokes are relentless, absolute schadenfreude when their own planes literally fall out of skies.
Well hubris and lack of empathy seems to be a character trait of these people, enforced by their system to ensure its continued existence. Hence any logical/reasonable interaction with these people is a complete lost cause

sadly enough, I would’ve wished for something concrete to be done to save those people, but still China should worry only about China and the USA is still there to cause problems so it’s better not to given them any face at all
