NATO is mainly the US.
Take away US and US military equipment, and NATO won't be able to do Jack shit. Without the US, they wouldn't even be able to push back the Russians!
The US is already in asia, moving NATO to Asia won't add much, if anything at all.
China's goal is to defeat the US in the Asia Pacific. Once the US is defeated, NATO can't do anything except virtue signal and economic sanctions. They will do economic sanctions even if NATO isn't in Asia.
That's just the reality. How many ships can France or England bring to Asia during a war, when supply ports are be attacked? Can they attack China by land?
Macron is trying to sound tough to domestic audience. France is not an empire anymore.
