DeepSeek may have well accelerated the arrival of another dot-com bubble.

Now it's 200,000.

Whoever wrote the above doesn't understand that economic competition is one of the most important factors that drive socioeconomic progression, not politics.

Does he even know where Indo-Pacific is?

Unlike German automakers, plenty tech fellows don't know that China can do software.

TSMC: At first you told me not to foundry advanced process chips for China, I listened. Then you told me to come to the U.S. to build factories, and I listened. Now you want to put tariffs on me? Then didn't I listen to you for nothing?
Exactly. The problem is you listened. Learn from Colombia, who told Trump to go eat a sack of dicks and they've got 50% tariffs on American imports to America's threat of 25% on Colombian imports. What happens? Trump's tariffs cancelled. "I was just kidding," America says.

I don't think Americans have enough self awareness to realize insisting Deepseek can't have done it without a large stash of H100 is the same as saying it's impossible for America to achieve Deepseek's result without a large stash of H100, which is not good at all for the future of American AI.

Being a friend of the U.S has indeed proven to be fatal, and it's MUCH more dangerous than being an enemy of the U.S.

Two small technology stocks are surging 50-200% Monday, bucking the broader market’s selloff, after announcing plans to use DeepSeek’s large language model in their businesses.
Do you remember back in 2019 at the start of the trade war when the US sanctioned ZTE and forced them to open themselves up to inquisitions at ZTE’s own expense? How it seemed Chinese companies were forced to follow American diktat or be sanctioned?

Now, American firms pay homage to Chinese technology and willingly adopt Chinese technology and AI against the wishes and plans of the Anglo American elites. Capitalism doesn’t care for nationalities and the door swings both ways. Just be glad that Chinese are merciful
